Florida media guy reporting UF teaching out to top 3 candidates and frost not on the list. Openly wondering if frost off the market.

Brandon cavanaugh reporting Ronnie green is pretty casually mentioning frost now.

There are other posts on twitter saying frost agents are indeed in contact with NU but I can’t vet their background. Could just be some drunk bumpkins

Note to Moos - do not believe this it is lame attempt by Florida and their media to entice Nu into a making a low ball offer if they have not already discussed terms -

Frost is Florida's number one target

Frost to NU necomes more legit when the rumors of Florida in contact with others pick up across multiple outlets. Florida rumors have been all about Frost for 2+ weeks now, so when that dies down it's a good sign for Nebraska. Or someone else not named Florida.

There been some rumor associated with this that frost already told Florida he’s going to NU

Wow something tells me Frost is gone at UCF. No way he would stay there over Florida. Makes me think Nebraska has their next HC. Hopefully. GBR

I just find it hard to believe it's decided either way from all parties, but of course I could be wrong.

Ya, but not enough for major outlets to run with it though & that's my bigger point.

I’d have to agree. We’ve seen enough of these by now and the ones that are usually wrong are those who were the only ones to say it.

Meh, I don't think that means anything. Those three are going to be above Frost on the list of every school not named Nebraska. Even if true, I don't think it means anything other than as of right now SF is not committed to UF.

Honestly. The only one of those that would interest me would be Patterson. He would fit. The other two not so much IMO.

I’d be fine with Kelly but the other two I think are unrealistic so I never hold out hope for names like that.

I don't know, Stoops ingrigues me as it would really light a fire under the fan base. We need a little controversy on here. Winking.

Seriously though, I have to hand it to Stoops, he puts out a great product. Offense & defense.

I think Stoops is done coaching due to a heart issue. Kelly would have to win early and often to keep people happy here. He's a different cat and hates to recruit.

Didn't know about the heart issue w/Stoops. Kinda changes my perspective. Thanks dingle.

This Kelly hates to recruit stuff is silly. The guy had great classes at Oregon, he did it and was good at. Who cares if he admitted he didn’t care for it while he was in the NFL? I suspect all college coaches hate recruiting, they just don’t admit it until they are out of the college game.

It was lightly reported but it was mentioned somewhere when he announced his retirement. His dad died of a heart attack on the sidelines of a game at the same age Bob is now.

I could be wrong, but I’ve never heard anyone actually say Bob has a heart problem. What I’ve heard Stoops say is that his dad died of a heart problem at the age Bob is now and it made Bob realize that there are things in his life other than football he wants to be sure he enjoys before it’s too late. He also said he will never coach again

I did in fact hear it reported (which could be wrong too) that Bob had a heart issue. I Don't know if he's got coronary artery disease or what but given his family history it's not unlikely. He's got all the money he could ever want. Why not enjoy it.

Hard to believe that Charlie Strong would be one of their top three candidates so soon after failing at Texas.

Hard to believe that Charlie Strong would be one of their top three candidates so soon after falling at Texas.

Ya I really thought that was odd too...

Almost question the top 3 candidates. Only one I can believe from that list.

I was hoping for Stoops, Kelly & Patterson to be on our list.
I know zero and claim to know even less insider anything but the suggestion that someone in that age group, raised in Youngstown, from that tree taking by the Nebraska job three years after Bo’s firing is the purest form of Internet folly we will see. Ok, maybe see today, but no blipping way. It’s nonsensical to even have the faintest hope.

Bob Stoops is not coming out of retirement. And I find it hard to believe they would have more interest in Charlie Strong than Scott Frost.

I don't know that I'd 100% believe any of the rumor reports. BUT, it's already November and I'd think negotiating would be in full swing for late November/early December announcements.

For what it's worth a Florida newspaper that covers the Gators has the top five candidates as of Nov 7 as follows
Scott Frost
Chad Morris
Willie Taggart
Justin Fuente
Matt Campbell

That’s a more believable list.

He also wants to have the opportunity to watch his son play college FB. He would forfeit this if he went back to coaching.

3 of the 5 should also be on Moos list.
