A big part of it is the refs getting caught up in the energy of the game. We are the biggest home game of the year for every SEC team we play on the road and their arenas are usually rocking. The refs feed into that and start making crap calls for the home team. That's why that former head of officials said the UK @Auburn game needed veteran officials, they are less likely to be influenced.

That's why I am cautiously optomistic because they tend to let them play more in tourney.....until they see us get on a run and they put a stop to it, lol.

Part of that can be contributed to teams being more aggressive when they play us at their place, but it should not be that much of a discrepancy.

The funny thing is we hardly shoot the 3 especially compared to a lot of our opponents. That's what they always bring up. Teams that shoot the 3 don't get to the FT line as much yet it works the opposite against us on the road for some reason.

One thing I like about March is we don't live and die by the 3. We might shoot 12-15/game and if we make 5 or more it usually spells trouble for the other team. We play a fair share of teams that shoot 25-30/game. In the Tourney, if one of those teams like a Dook has an off night from 3 their dead.

Or
UK is called for fewer fouls at Rupp than anywhere else.
UK opponents shoot fewer free throws in Rupp than anywhere else.
Conclusive evidence of home cooking in Rupp.

Refs let the rowdy home crowd affect their whistle. Want to be a part of the excitement.

Maybe but then why are these stats basically even?
