It seems we are having less success in Illinois than the past. Only one recruit - Riardon in the 2026 class and he was ranked number 11 in-state. The trend for 2027 looks similar for the top 10 recruits in-state. Darn ND seems to be in on all the top recruits. Bielema is doing better in-state and Indiana got Gabe Hill a DL we wanted. Will be interesting to see how 27 goes.

Trend probably is not the right word but after getting four players in the top 12 and two unranked players last yrar we only got one in 2026. Illinois has been one of Iowa's top talent sources.
