Might want to look in to who runs that site before taking their info as the gospel.

it looks like elemental.medium is owned by Medium. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Medium_(website)
and this guy started Medium. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evan_Williams_(Internet_entrepreneur)

Please spell out what your issue is. I havent looked into Evan Williams and have only heard of him a handful of times. What is the issue with who owns the site?

Because he is liberal. Which is fine, but it’s so tiring when people post liberal or conservative articles and then act like it’s 100% factual. There’s an agenda behind every news source, you don’t have to search that hard to find it.

Just think about it this way, if I linked a Breit Bart article and said “see! COVID ain’t that bad!” You’d immediately get your panties in a wad. It goes both ways, let’s just stop being naive about it.

I still say Vitamin D is why death percentages drop. When it hit NY it was cold and New Yorkers aren’t out in the sun like we are in the south.

It's not just that it's liberal. It's that it's ridiculous:

The Food & Drug Administration says “recent results from a large, randomized clinical trial in hospitalized patients” found hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine phosphate (the stuff of fish-tank cleaners that an Arizona man fatally drank) “showed no benefit for decreasing the likelihood of death or speeding recovery.”

Ok, so the info shouldnt be taken as gospel because Medium was started by someone who isnt conservative.

Well yeah, I agree info shouldnt just be taken as gospel without looking into the info.
So Mr Kotter doesnt actually have anything helpful to contribute.

Having studied viruses and bacteria, COVID 19 does NOT behave like a 'normal' virus which can't tolerate warmer weather. Either it's a man-made, manipulated virus or it ISN'T a virus at all.

Thanks for linking that. I had to dig way back in my memory of physiology class from a long time ago. That makes plenty of sense. I like the fact that the author of the article and the guy who did the analysis called this a hypothesis, and that it needs to be looked at by real clinical study before it really means anything. I think it absolutely needs to be looked at, very hard. That's about the first thing that I have seen that links most if not all of the WIDE range of symptoms together and gives a real physiologic, systemic reason for them. If this turns out to be it, it re-opens some very interesting questions in my mind.

There have been viruses that thrived in warm weather. Most of us, including me, are too young to remember "Polio summers" but you can read about them or ask people who lived through them. Now most respiratory viruses don't like warm weather true. But if that article is correct, it's really not a respiratory virus at all. It just enters the body that way. Again, that would re-open some very interesting questions, which your last sentence touch on. It is a virus though, it's been isolated and grown in labs. It's the part before the "or" that is a bit scary.

Ask Medium why Wisconsin is spiking and the rest of the country it’s going down consistently. I’ll hang up and listen

That is exactly what the FDA has said about the real drug that refers to.

I told people months ago this is vascular. Doctors figured that out around May. Vitamin D has been used since before that. Nothing in that article is new.

I still say Vitamin D is why death percentages drop. When it hit NY it was cold and New Yorkers aren’t out in the sun like we are in the south.

Living in New York state, I can see that, but there were other issues why the numbers were so inflated, especially nursing home deaths.

Is it?
Whenever I see newsclips of Trump interviews, administration interviews, or press briefings- I see a constant stream of lies/misinformation/partial truths/incorrect statements.
I see the same on here each day. There is having an opinion, and then there is citing incorrect information. One is very different from the other.

A lot of people in NYC walk to work though, so they're outside. But they probably sitll don't get as much sunshine as most of us do. The rest of the state is like anywhere else.

And you know, people live in an area the size of Jackson than 3 times our entire states population.
And it hit there really hard prior to barely being in our state and we started socially distancing.

On their 5 minute walk, they pass within 6 feet of more people than I drive past going from Starkville to Memphis. Seriously.

Most are covered head to toe though and walking in shadows of monster buildings all of which reduce their bodies’ exposure to sunlight.

I'm not too concerned with who wrote that article as I am with where did they get their info for that article. If you would have followed the generous amount of links included in that article you would find he used many established, reputable scientific and medical organizations as the basis for this article. Med Press, Scientific American, Harvard School of Medicine, John Hopkins Med., etc. I could go on for days listing the institutions he referenced. These are some of the BEST scientific and medical institutions not only in America, but on the planet. To disavow this knowledge just because it upsets your political beliefs is the apex of stupidity. My main agenda here is to dispense accurate and reliable knowledge to the good people of SPS in the hope that it may help someone on here avoid suffering or possibly even death. If it bothers you politically then tough ****. Maybe you should consider adjusting your politics to align with actual scientific and medical research. OR better yet, maybe you should consider not politicizing as disease that could't give a **** what your political preferences are.
