Going through security line at one of the smithsonian museums. I had on state T shirt. The staffer said to his colleague while pointing to my shirt, "you know who that is dont you (no he didn't mean me personally). Dak! The man who went to lambeau and beat Aaron rogers." The other guy said, you mean Dakota & his partner said no, Rayne Dakota. The man has made an impression.

It's pretty incredible. Every time I get in the truck ,i hear Dak on the radio. Every time I sign into Facebook, I see an article on him. And I still can't get enough. Dak has had the Bulldog faithful wrapped for a few years now, now it's spreading across the country.

They like it a lot more now that he's doing this for the Cowboys and not MSU

I meant the national attention he his getting. They own the head to head over him at State. They love to remind us of that point.

I live in cowboy country and on my 10 minute commute to work, I'm hearing about Dak way more often than not. Just heard the local sports guy talk about how even the defense is playing better bc they are inspired by him. Everybody has gone Dak crazy. It's incredible

Man I hope he's set up well for a big contract in a few years. He deserves it. To put it in perspective, only halfway through the season, Mullen has earned approximately what Dak's entire 4 year contract max value is worth.

Oh I'm sure many of them are not happy 1) because he went to Mississippi State in our name is getting promoted more than theirs right now. 2) he has taken the attention away from Eli

I don't recall Eli getting the attention that Dak's getting. Mostly what I remember is that he was drafted by San Diego and somehow Archie got him to New York. I didn't really follow NFL then (or now either except Dallas), but I think most of his popularity then was at least somewhat due to Archie and Peyton.

Dak is more of a Cinderella story that many fans can identify with. People like his humble beginnings and his rise to fame in spite of the odds. Eli, to me, has always handled himself well too but he was pretty much born with the proverbial silver spoon in his mouth.

Actually I have yet to talk to an OM fan who speaks poorly of Dak now that he is gone from MSU.

SAme here. Nothing but props to Dak and glad he's gone from starkville. They actually seem fascinated by how humble he is. Like it's a foreign concept.

Now that he's gone from MSU I like watching him play. He is a fantastic competitor. It probably helps OM fans who love to compare that Eli isn't having some ******** season.

It's crazy, but the best two things to happen to dak are going to msu and getting picked in the fourth round and backing up a living piece of glass. Both turned out to seriously improve his situation.

And it turned out this way because of the DUI. Thanks Officer Friendly !!

Add to that, one of the best O-lines, a great RB, good receiver corps and one of the best OC and play caller. Linehan has been great with Dak.

Dak has to wait a while for the big money but the way it's going, he'll make a million in the off-season on endorsements.

I'll fill in between the lines for you. Eli was drafted by San Diego; however, his daddy and he thought he was too good to play for San Diego, due to quality of the offensive line there. So they refused to play there and brokered a deal to send him to New York. That put his silver spoon on the national stage.

So how will this help our football team? I'm still waiting on the #1 national ranking to pay off.
