Hey Ref, nice to see ya post.

Do you think that is because it was UTEP or a defensive philosophy?

Prediction Neb-Col?

Good post and graphic. If Nebraska can get away with disguising a 4-man rush when they "blitz".. not counted as a blitz in that graphic.. they will go far.

We didn't get much pressure.. or rather.. didn't catch that Howard QB back there.. maybe we'll see more blitzing Saturday but that won't be a good thing. We need the pressure without the blitzing.

I just don’t think they needed too. UTEP ran a very funky offense that made it necessary to have a lot of cover guys on the field always and they rarely threw a pass more than 5 yards past the LOS. Lot of bubble screen type stuff. The front 4 got all kinds of heat on the qb when they tried to run deeper routes so don’t think they needed to. I would venture to say it will be different this week although last year NU didn’t blitz them and had 8 sacks against them. Their o-line isn’t any better this year.

My prediction is as always, the team that scores the most points will win. Ha

I see Wink Martindale hasn't changed his ways, be it the NFL or college he's going to dial it up. Only in college he's not facing as many QB's that will make him pay.
