I know it's been said over and over again, but looking at the standings really hammers it home: the middle 7 teams in the conference are all separated by a total span of a game in the standings, from Illinois in 4th at 5-4 to Penn State in 10th at 4-5. And the teams from 11, 12, 13 are all only a half game or a game behind PSU, while 2nd and 3rd RU and Michigan are only 1 game or a half game clear of the pack respectively.

Outside of Purdue likely winning this thing, the final standings are WIDE open.

Parity hasn't helped BIG Ten teams stay ranked in the top 25 teams .The loss of so many top players from last season is the reason that so many teams are bunched together.

I’m just glad the OP used the correct term “parity” and not “parody” in this thread. 😂

Top 25 polls are empty praise. Big ten has a ton of teams good enough to be 5-12 seeds and not many awful ones.

The AP top 25 men’s virtually nothing anymore. We currently have nine schools in the KenPom top 39. That’s a lot.

Agree with everything you said except Purdue likely winning this thing. That is what the media and so called experts want you to think but I trust my eyes and this is going to the wire. Purdue has barely won 3-4 of their road games , Ohio State and Michigan State by 1 and Nebraska by 2 or 3 aided by a blown no call by our Big 10 refs and now the close call to Maryland over the weekend at home. Their next 5 and final 4 games are difficult and I predict 3-4 more losses. We have to continue to get better and keep our losses to a minimum 2 as we have the tiebreaker. If it comes down to 1 game apart then I will be steaming pissed over that Ohio State game .
