We're going to find out really fast what we've got with Clair and Tyus. I think we're paying back the karma from JJTBC staying healthy all those years.

Too soon to be totally down. Huge loss for sure but let's see who and what else we got. Probably better it happens now than in Week 3 or whatever. Best wishes for a speedy recovery to the injured.

So, I wonder if this played into the QB decision at all? BTN reported that Hunter was the better runner of the two. Maybe losing your top RB puts extra pressure on the QB to be able to make things happen in the run game.

Possible it was a factor but likely not a big one. With Cam out, I expect us to be a little less run heavy team than we otherwise would have been and so the QB is going have to sling it also.

Porter was the worst possible player to lose as he’s the teams only proven offensive play maker.

I expect we'll see all three backs in the first game and Hull would be the initial starter. I think Ray Niro is the next guy in line.
I don't think Niro will be second string, but has good hands and maybe can be the 3rd down back.

Everyone is freaking out. One year Jacob Schmidt was the starter!

Runningback is usually a position that if you have decent blocking you will find someone to produce. The decent blocking is the key for this year!

Yeah, but we had a losing record in 2011 when Schmidt was the starter so…..

Whoops, I meant that Niro would be next after the other three guys. I don't think anybody knows how to sort Hull, Tyus, and Clair at this point. If Tyus or Clair is able to beat out Hull for the starting spot, I will take that as a good sign.

Didn’t happen last year. All of sudden blocking looked better once Porter was inserted as the primary ball carrier.

My thoughts exactly. I doubt we would've seen much zone read with Hilinski. But now I expect some of it with Johnson, especially if Hull gets the most carries.
