Getting interesting late, certainly looks to break the record for lead changes during the race. Team mates trading off the lead for drafting and fuel economy inflated that number a bit, but this is the most competitive race I recall seeing. 40 to go, check it out if you're not watching!

Oh and rain may enter the picture for the closing laps. Should be exciting til the end!

Only watch last 5 laps. Must say i really don’t recall the leader zig zagging to I assume stop the trailing car from drafting. Pretty interesting.

The dragon maneuver. Started about 10 years ago. They restrict how far you can go down now but if you go back a couple years they'd literally get below the pit wall before coming back up. Watch some YouTube clips of final laps from like 2020ish and those cars were all over the track on the last lap.

I think they need to make it the Indy 600 w/ how fast those cars go and how quick the race seems to fly by once it starts.

I think I’m just a few years older than you! I knew that only because I asked my brother yesterday if Foyt had won as an owner since he won in 1977 as a driver. Yeah I remember that race too. Lol.

This was my all-time favorite Indy finish. It was basically 10 straight laps of stress, not to mention the rookie Kevin Cogan starting a wreck at the start.
