Besides that how was the play Mrs. Lincoln?
Besides better record.
Besides better Q1 record
Besides better conference mark.
Besides RU just Beating Indiana at Indiana!
Besides Michigan just losing on a neutral court to Indiana.
Despite Michigan now having one of lowest winning percentages in NCAA tourney history.
Sorry BAC. Get off the NET nonsense.
We are in over Michigan.
^I'd like this to be true, but have come understand the countervailing wind to that whole scenario: the NET punishes teams for bad losses far more than it rewards them for good wins. It's like getting a 50 on an exam and instead of the professor giving you an F, she gives you an F and subtracts 100 points from future exams.

Looking at the Top 25
9. Purdue
12 Wisconsin
16 Illinois
24 Iowa
32 OSU
35 Rutgers

I have a fear....I think a legitmate fear that the committee doesn't view the B1G as the clear cut 2nd best conference.

Wisconsin and Iowa are the only teams not seeing their stock fall.

top 25 doesnt matter

Big 10 will get 2 as 3 seeds, still possibility of someone getting 2 seed

another will be 4...thats 3 in top 16. Iowa is on the 6 line but could move to 5. OSU is 6 to 8

Sparty is 8/9

RU/Indy/Mich is 10/11 ranging to first 4

its not going to be good to have 3 Big 10 schools all bunched. Note that Michigan and Indiana do not have bad losses and both have metrics far greater than RU has.
What do you mean by "Metrics". Are you talking advanced statistics that measure things like offensive and defensive efficiencies and so forth, or are we only talking about wins and losses?

Coincidentally that is how they would be seeded if conmittee only looked at AP 25. I understand and realize ap too 25 is irrelevant

Agreed but they are Mich and I think sometimes those type of schools get the benefit of the doubt.
You think?
The committee's criteria goes something like this. They pick a team to look at and ask the following questions:
1) Is the team Duke? If yes put in tournament field and ask them where they would like to be seeded. If no go to question 2
2) Is the team North Carolina? If yes put in tournament field, if no go to #3
... and so on.

Worry about Sparty and OSU. Frankly think we are better.

No but I do believe there is a certain bias toward blue bloods. Syracuse has gotten in some years with pretty mediocre records. Mich St. and UCLA snuck in last year when you could argue neither deserved a bid. The implicit bias is these schools have large followings and draw ratings for the tourney.
