I had not seen Indiana play this year before last night’s game. I have to admit I was blown away by the combination of intensity and coordination of the Indiana defense. Their performance, absent two starters and three rotation players, was amazing. I know it is a one game sample, but compared to Indiana the last 10 years or so, it was a day and night difference. After watching the inept play of Nebraska’s defense, it was particularly startling. Based on a one game sample, Indiana is going to be really tough the next few years.
As a side note, the back to back games against terrible and excellent defensive teams really gave a good snapshot of where NU’s offense is.
