I know there are a lot of you protesting the remainder of the season, but tomorrow looks to be a beautiful fall day, not quite time for pumpkin & apple picking, so some of us are still attending the game. What are your tailgate plans/menus?

We're doing Oktoberfest. Yes, I know it is the RU Brewfest (more like the RU Screwfest, being at 9am and all) but we're going to do it our way. Making a special beer run today, and will be serving weisswurst, chewy pretzels, and schweinshaxn which were delivered yesterday. We may not even make it into the stadium.

If I didn’t sit right behind the bench I would just stay tailgating ... but there is a show within the show that I watch. It’s a sad show, with sad faces and the occasional clap-clap from an assistant coach... but it’s bad.

Everyone who has tickets should go tailgate tomorrow
You're not going to get a better weather day.

Go enjoy food, booze, family, friends and fellow RU fans on a Saturday afternoon

Ill be one of the first online to the brewfest with a few buddies , hope some hot babes are in there.

Then I'll tailgate all day, only way I go into the stadium is if it's tied at worst at halftime

Going with my son and a friend. My friend's friend/wife are coming. He played ball for RU in the 70's and I believe is being honored at halftime with the whole 1978 Garden State Bowl team.

Such a shame for them that there will be so few fans there. Never seen so many quality tix avail on tix exchange site.

We'll be setting up in the Blue Lot as normal. However, we have serious attrition going on right now, so it's gonna be a small one. Morning tailgates just don't lend themselves to the Oktoberfest theme we were planning, so it looks like the normal fare with nothing special planned.

Sadly this could be the smallest tailgate we've seen since 2013.

For those of you on the fence, what was said above is absolutely correct. The weather tomorrow is slated to be unbelievably gorgeous. So if you can make it out to tailgate I highly recommend you do so.

We will be there! 3 types of pizzas! Pepperoni, plain and magistifucl! The real question - Pizza by Alfredo's, or Alfredo's Pizza Cafe?

Good plan. I actually prefer weisswurst to bratwurst. The Brewfest was dealt a bad hand with the noon start. $50 and $25 for a two-hour event just isn't worth it.

Couldn't find any Indiana based breweries in the stores around here, so going Oktoberfest on the beers.

should get then a bit after 7, will do a Jersey breakfast, then Indiana snacks and lunch. Looking like corn based dip for a snack, then fried pork sandwiches for lunch.

Not tailgating tomorrow because I'm volunteering. But hopefully the weather holds and all of you have a great time!

The $50 is for a ticket to the game and Brewfest. Since a ticket to the game is worthless the $50 option is a complete ripoff. The $25 fee for the Brewfest is a great deal. If you can't get fired up for drinking great beers in the morning that's a "you problem" The beer offering is excellent.

You’re missing my point. Most of these type events go for 4 or 5 hours. They are going to cram a bunch of people in there for two hours. Realistically how many beers can you sample and enjoy in two hours unless you want to get totally blasted? Also, what will the lines be like? It’s just a tough thing to make the event dependent on a kick-off time.

Most events these days are anywhere from $40 to $60 dollars.
If you go to an 4 hour event you are going to get blasted. Ive worked almost a 100 over the years, Ive seen the damage that is done over 4 hours. Trust me at $25 this is a great deal because its a great lineup

I do agree with you - they assembled a great line up, better than I expected. Just disappointed that they got screwed with a noon kickoff.

Go drink. Enjoy. Sober up in the Stadium and leave mid 2nd quarter and start all over again at your tailgate. Going to be a beatiful day. Enjoy!
Cheers

First game of the year for me. Going with my brother in law.

Should be fun. Keeping it simple: Tastee Sub and 2 six packs.

Same here, just Mrs. G and me. Leaves us a lot of tickets to go in and out of the stadium depending on the game.

9 lbs of Korean Beef just went into the fridge to marinate. Went to Glory's Market in Jackson to get some good cuts. We may suck, but damn does my tailgate eat good. And yes I'll be up at the *** crack of dawn packing the truck again.
