My point had nothing to do with scheduling. The poster I responded to was crowing about Indiana's defense suggesting it was very good if you remove the Ohio State and Michigan State games.
That's kind of absurd. If you take awake the Minnesota, Ohio State, and 4th quarter of the Colorado games for Nebraska, then the Husker defense is allowing less than 300 yards and roughly 17 points per game. Nobody is impressed with Nebraska's defense, and you shouldn't allow yourself to fall victim to the same mistake with the Hoosiers
Your stats took away the Rutgers game from Maryland when the only other teams Maryland played besides IU were at Penn State (#6 in the country) and at Purdue. So the stat carving was shaded on your side as well. They put 63pts on what was a #21 ranked Syracuse squad earlier in the season too.
Either way, I think Nebraska wins a a close one, 29-25.
How granular you want to get? Syracuse has been 0- 4 vs Power 5 teams. In fact, I think they lose out to close the season.
Perhaps the NCAA will allow Syracuse and Rutgers to play a Power 5 winless bowl.

You glossed over the other fact I outlined. My point is, you can carve out our any schools record to be worthless if you tried hard enough.
IU has turned over some starters on defense, 2 of which then left the program a couple weeks back. We have a Mullen kid who's a freshman starting at DB over one of the seniors who left. His brother is Trayvon Mullen, the 2nd rnd draft pick out of Clemson this year to the Raiders. He has shockingly already been a lock down corner in his short 3 weeks at DB. Our run defense is defintitely our Achilles heel so as most have pointed out, that is likely where Frost will need to focus.
I still pick Nebraska to win this game. Too many top 25 recruiting classes and plethora of talent to provide depth. To me, that is what makes the haves and the have nots, depth. We are getting closer though, slowly.

I woke up this morning and decided Nebraska would win this one. Martinez and JD will be back, doubtfull on Wandale. They will be really pumped after the bye week and wearing the Black jerseys and classic helmet. If they can't win this one......well I'm not going there.
Indiana 30
Nebraska 20
