This game of the remaining 5 was by far the least significant. Beating an unranked Michigan team at home would have been nice but the general theme of this season would continue of can’t win on the road. Win 1 of the road games or beating a top 10 team Maryland team in March and we are golden. Get this clunker out of the way and use this as motivation to get across the finish line.

Any of our remaining road games would be more beneficial to win than this game.
And of course beating MD at home would mean more as well.

Agree with OP. If you were to tell me we are only going to win 1 of our remaining games heading into tonight, this is not the 1 you pick for NCAA purposes. You take a road win or big win vs. Maryland.

in a way this is true, look we all want to win but if you gave me the choice of a win vs Michigan at the RAC or a win at Wisconsin, I would take Wisky 100% of the time. Even if we beat Michigan, the road question would still be hammered home

Gotta win one on the road, the NCAA tourney is not a charity. 3 games to do it.

I agree with your point of it being the least significant game but it is not a silver lining. Silver lining suggests that something beneficial came out of the loss last night. There is no reason why winning last night would stop us from winning in the future nor does losing last night guarantee any future wins.
