Update:
Today I received news that I would not be terminated from my job. I "blew the whistle" on security screening procedures at my job, and was initially accused of trying to be malicious, but after an investigation they realized that was not the case.
On my health, it's good and bad. The ENT called back today and said they had received the biopsy results. "There is a lot of inflammation, but nothing cancerous in the biopsy material we took, but I am puzzled" was his exact words. He has referred me onto UC where he wants a colleague who does robotic surgery to look into this. He thinks it may have to do with the lymph nodes or a tumor, which isn't good obviously, but I think it's better news than being told "it's cancer". He has prescribed narcotics because continuously dosing on numbing throat sprays and ibuprofen/tylenol is only providing short relief. I've lost 6 pounds in the past two weeks because I'm unable to eat anything without a lot of pain if I don't go through the process of numbing myself first. Husband scheduled my CAT SCAN, and the ENT scheduled an appointment for me to see his colleague at the University of Cincinnati. I can reach back into my throat area and feel a 'lump' or puffy, sore spot where I think the tonsil used to be that was removed at UK almost ten years ago. Surgery is very likely going to be the route they take, I'm just tired of being in pain so much and so often for years.
