I'm usually a miserable ahole after losses.

It sucks we didn't make it to the semis, but:

- we had an unlucky match up. Iowa is peaking at precisely the right time. They were unstoppable from 3 and everywhere else.

-The refs were absolute pathetic trash. We played against them too.

-We never quit and never lost our fire. Playing that way until the end is inspiring and bodes well for this teams mentality going into the tourney.

- we will make the tourney, and if not, thr system sucks anyway. I LOVE this team and these young me. I love this school. I love this state.

-Pike deserves his extension, and we will see more development next year with these young kids. We are in good hands and will continue to make runs and be in contention. We have something to root for here in Jersey.

Bring on selection Sunday. Enjoy your Friday night.

THIS^^^^^^^^^^^^. There are so many annoying threads here today. Iowa is really the hottest team in the league. We had the FOUR seed today after a long season... we played Iowa to a 10-point game on a neutral court and...the game should have been closer according to most accounts I'm reading (even from the negatoids). Yet, you read here that Pike can't coach, Pike doesn't yell at the refs enough, this player can't shoot, that player can't rebound. And, yet....we are still hoping to be selected for The Dance on Sunday. Somebody around here MUST be doing one hell of a great job! The players and coaches have GIVEN us such agita all year, it's great....we should love it, we should love them. The alternatives have stunk for most/all of the last thirty years, or more. Now, if you can't say something nice, you should all go to your room!!! GO RU! Everyone stop bitching...this team needs and deserves our support, big time.

While today's loss is disappointing, you have to love this team and this coach. Pike has brought Rutgers basketball out of the wilderness and has turned the program into a contender in the toughest league in the country. That is quite an accomplishment. The future looks very bright.

Well said, brother! This team is in our hearts. They deserve the NCAAs, and for us to cheer them on like crazy!! Go Knights!!!

5 years ago, we assumed we would lose most games, so no big deal when we lost! And a few pleasant surprises when we won
Now, we believe we can win any game, so we are disappointed and critical when we lose.
I definitely prefer the now and enjoy the ride when we win or lose. The best situation in over 30 years. The anticipation and stress game to game is tough, but well worth it. I also enjoy the diversity of comments, knowledge and reactions on this board before, during, and after the games. Overall it’s been a great year. Let’s hope team gets to play a few more games.

I wouldn't expect better reffing in the tournament. I think one of the reasons B1G teams struggle often in the tournament is officiating. The B1G is a physical league. What often isn't a foul in the B1G is often a foul in other leagues.
As long as it goes both ways. It didn't today. We took it to the rim many times no call

I kind if think the opposite, BIG teams struggle bc they don't get more foul calls the last few years. I remember in 2020 before covid, the league was really physical and I loved it. BIG commentators were saying the league wanted more calls and more offense going into 2021, and it seems they got it. Guys like Garza and Cockburn etc were protected all year, but in the tourney didn't get the calls and struggled. I could be wrong.

Not sure if its reffing, but different styles of play really seemed to hurt the Big Ten in last year's tournament
