It'll be a matter of minutes before the PSU faithful come over with the ton excuses why they lost the game. Then they'll beat their chest about how to destroy Rutgers and Rutgers is sorry.

Can it be that 2 Jersey players cost Michigan and PSU bowl wins? I guess Peppers might really be hurt and did not put his NFL aspirations above the team.. but Blacknall.. man, he could have made a difference with his replacement accounting (at least partially) to two early INTs.

I've been at the airport since it was 13-7 waiting for my flight. USC won and almost ready to board! Streamed the whole damn game on my cell phone
I wanted USC to win but if that game went into OT twice it would have been fitting

Regardless of how we do, always happy when TTFP loses. Screw them.
It was a great game regardless of who came out on top. What a difference from watching Rutgers stumble and bumble their way through this season.
Kyle Flood corrupted them both. It was part of his plan to bring down TTFP. He was very underrated at the art of deception.

Instead of blaming two kids who made mistakes, they should be praising the other NJ kids that made this season special:
- Gesicki
- Mahon
- Sickels
- Reid
- Cabinda
- Bell
@GSGS I know that both you and I look forward to your day when your beloved team represents the B1G in the Rose Bowl. I can't wait for that day and will be here to post in that thread and root you on.
Meh, not really. I think our team had them beat then made some not so good plays down the stretch to give them the ball back. Considering nobody could stop their QB I knew PSU was in trouble. Good game, good season and very proud of the team and staff.

You know, not that we have a great history of utilizing talent but...if these teams are going to shamelessly mine New Jersey for all the best talent in the state and still lose in all the bowl games maybe they should let us have the talent for a while. We couldn't do any worse than lose every single bowl game like UM, OSU and PSU did.
Once you put on the blue and white..you are no longer ''Jersey kids'' you lose that status..SORRY.
What happened to all the penn state callers I heard on talk radio the past few weeks who said "it doesn't matter how we beat OSU...what matters is we won the game"? Well, it doesn't matter how USC won, it only matters that they won, right? Have to hand it to that USC QB.

BTW, RU fans s/b grateful today that Barkley flipped to PSU. If he attended Rutgers, Elmer Flood may still be here, and there is no way this program would have won anything with old Elmer. We expedited the remediation of the Flood Disaster through the decommits we had during his era/error.
What I have to wonder about Barkley is that PSU hasn't had the best of Olines the past couple of years, he would have likely won the Heisman this year at a tOSU, UMich, or any of 10 or so other programs. Wonder if he has any regrets he didn't go to a program with a better Oline? We'll probably never know, as he is too smart to be forthcoming on something like this.
Barkley absolutely has no regrets, he said attending Penn State was the best decision he made in his life. He's one of the team leaders, and knows every Olineman on the team would break thru walls for him.
You probably arent aware, Penn State was down to their 5th and 6th starting Tackles and still wins. Even in the Oline's present form: 3 Freshman, 1 Sophmore, and 1 Senior Penn State continues to win. Next year when everyone gets healthy and redshirts come off, the Oline will be dominating and with great depth.
Mark this down, Barkley will win the Heisman.
Barkley is special. Reminds me so much of Ray Rice. Might have a bit more speed... but those bounces and quick acceleration and those tree-trunk legs that shed arm tackles.. yes, PSU fans, Ray Rice was that good.
BTW, kjb, if and when Rutgers represents the B1G in the Rose Bowl, I plan on being at the game, not posting on a message board of an opposing team.

It appears that our OL was just fine this season. Guessing they will be even better next year with all but one starter returning.
In regards to OSU and UM, I don't hear anyone talking about their backs over Barkley.
Like you, I often wonder about highly rated recruits who go to Rutgers to die. Hamilton is a perfect example. Even more appropriate is Huggins. What could have been...
