and the fact that he comes from an MSU family. That said, I cant imagine why we didnt offer this kid, I know we have some qbs committed, but can someone who knows something shed some light on this for me?

Probably so, and up until recently, we hadn't offered because we were only planning on taking 1 QB, and we had a couple guys on our list rated ahead of him. Of course, that was before Chris Wilkes signed a pro baseball contract. When that happened, we decided to sign a 2nd QB, opening the door for Moore.

He was our Plan B guy, at least according to the way we handled his recruiting. We're still leaving one spot open to sign one of our Plan A guys. I'm guessing he was a Plan B guy for MSU as well.

I don't really know why Croom wouldn't offer him, unless he thought it would screw up relations with Russell. I hope they did their homework, and that's also why I don't like signing 2 QB's in one class.
