MSU winning keeps them Q1 and puts RU half a game behind Illinois in the conference race
A MSU loss makes it easier to finish ahead of them, if your objective is a double bye in the B1G tournament. Just look on the bright side of either outcome.

MSU looks terrible right now. They don’t even look like an NCAA team.
You knew what Rutgers did to Illinois, that Brad Underwood was going to have them ready to play at MSU
I have gotten past who to root for but MSU with an inability to score, is struggling. I know it was just 2 weeks ago, but RU played its best 1H in a while vs Sparty and Sparty hasn't played a better 1H than they did vs RU in awhile.
Tyson Walker (Northeastern transfer, who averaged 20PPG there), is now well scouted and his production and inability to score has taken him from starter to off the bench. Hoggard is another Top 150 kid who has not started to score enough either. Until 1 of those guards starts to play better, Sparty may go on an extended streak of games where getting to 65 points is going to be a struggle.

MSU will be a 10 seed if not 11 by end of the year..theyll stay out of first four but you really see where this headed for them

Another great sign for respect for Rutgers. All 4 teams , MSU , Ohio State , Wisconsin and Illinois won their next game and 2 of them on the road . No one can say they caught that team in a losing streak. That makes our wins even more impressive as well as all 4 of them played well at various parts of our games and no stinkers.
