Are they starting this game at 19:58 and three timeouts for ISU?

They have a rim protector who didn't play in the first matchup. 7 foot David Ndiaye. Not sure if he starts. They'll have revenge on their mind. We'll have to match their intensity.

This team has no idea what plays to run half the time on defense and almost all the time on offense. That is where their inexperience comes in. They need a floor general, one would at least help.

Finally. Battle hits a 3 to open up scoring. May be time to let Battle get more minutes and sit Taplin. 5 turnovers 0 assists vs SDSU. Believe he's already started with a turnover and no assists 12 min left first half.

At this point I am not impressed with taplin. For a player playing point he does turn it over a lot. Feel that is why he sat mostly last year.

but that's only 32 TO's in the game if we maintain this pace..
This is on Haith. This is a known problem and it keeps getting worse. that's coaching.

The people who say Tulsa doesn't have enough talent. Well all the talent in the world won't help you if don't have enough reps knowing what plays to run when the offense or defense is changing looks on you. It takes more reps in practice and games. Esp games. This is a true rebuilding year for Tulsa. You can't shortcut it. Took last years senior class almost 1-1/2 years to figure it out.

I think this performance convinces me the team doesn't care and Haith doesn't know what to do to make them care. This is as bad as the Jacksonville State game. A losing season is in the offing.

We have the talent, we just don't have the coaching.

Lazy cross court passes bring turnovers. They should never be allowed in practice, let alone in a game.

Agree it is a rebuilding year. But we need to show improvement, which we had...until 2nd half SDSU and today. We've digressed in Hawaii. And that's not a good sign. If we don't make come back and make this respectable, Haith will have to make some major changes to the rotations.

34 turnovers in a game and half...Dino just said on broadcast. Wow

Chemistry still abysmal.

Sorry Gold...
Tulsa is awesome!!! Totally awesome!!! Great team. NCAA tourney for sure.

Merry Christmas!

In all seriousness, Tulsa has embarassed itself tonight. For all the world to see... horrible basketball. My fellow ISU alums are laughing.

I'm tired of everyone saying "we have the talent". I've seen better defense in pickup games at Tulsa. And that's not something you can just teach. The players have to want to play defense. Right now they just don't care, and it hasn't changed since game 1. Outside of one or two players this team isn't improving at all.

I came here to say I'm glad I'm at a Christmas party and missing the game but... defense is one thing in basketball you can easily teach. You can't teach effort but defense is not hard to teach.

Things you can't teach: athleticism, 3pt shooting, and FT shooting.

Tulsa will look like this until they get enough reps in practice and games for it to become automatic.

I'm glad you are embarrassed. This forum isn't a place for your abusive language and conduct.

I disagree. There are many players that have improved their FT shooting and 3pt shooting. If players don't play good defense as Freshman, they typically don't end up playing good defense as seniors unless there's a coaching change. It's a mindset thing.

You really believe this is? Wouldn't we look better today (18 days and 4 games) than our prior game against these guys if reps were the sole issue? I don't disagree that the lack of game experience is an issue but this team has other deficiencies (guard play). If Haith can't get some of these issues fixed during the Christmas break (we get extended practice time) then it's likely not being fixed this season.
