Ivey is faster than Corey Sanders with the ball in his hands....your answer is NO!
Sorry, I still get a wish on my birthday (if I can handle 64 candles) and another if I pull the right side of the wishbone on Thanksgiving.. I might even go out and look for some shooting stars.

A double OT thriller between two very talented teams. The difference was Purdue had double digit scoring from their centers whille Cockburn was a no show for Illinois because of early foul trouble and fouling out before the game went into overtime.Illinois also had trouble scoring for long periods of time because of the poor 3 point shooting which allowed Purdue to maintain a lead for most of the game including during overtime.Curbelo was the star for Illimois coming off the bench with dribble drives to the basket and fade away jump shots. These two teams clearly have the talent to reach the NCAA Final Four.

I see they got the double whammy of Bo Boroski and DJ Carstensen.
Purdue 15 PFs, Illinois 23 PFs
FTs 26-32(14-17 OT), FTs 12-15(2-5 OT)

From my Illini buddy

It was the big bald guy today. At one point he blew his whistle 8 straight pocessions. One was an out of bounds and another a jump ball ( shocking not a foul call) but the rest were calls some not even in his perview.

I wholeheartedly agree. But look at Pike's record against him. Pretty damn impressive considering Purdue has better talent (much higher recruiting level) and some say Pike doesn't run an offense.
When Harper and Baker make shots at crunch time they can defeat opponents with overall more talent. When they are missing in action Rutgers can lose to Nebraska and other bottom tier league rivals. There is a very small margin for error.

Illinois played better when Kofi was on the bench anyway. He can't bully his way in that matchup against Edey like he does against most teams.

Purdue fans hate Boroski too. He's infamous is a few of our biggest losses in the past 10-15 years. 2019 E8 game against Virginia. 2008 overtime loss to Oklahoma where they shot 46 free throws to 5 for us. In fact, I'm not aware of any fan base that likes him.

Bo can ruin every game he is in. He personally fouled our Myles Johnson out of numerous games and his eyesight on out of bounds deflections is atrocious and he gets it wrong more than 50 % of the time. He impacts the game too much when he referees and takes the game away from the kids. There should never be the foul disparity we see routinely in the games he has reffed. He literally has been atrocious in the last 3-4 years against Rutgers , which plays to his narrative to give his perceived better team the benefit of the doubt. Amazingly , we have not had him as much this year , thankfully , and he actually was not terrible when we had him. Does he now perceive Rutgers as good or better and therefore doesn’t hose us on every close call or blow the whistle incessantly ? I don’t know but would like to avoid him in all big future games.

46 to 5 is an atrocity

Once attended CYO game with a similar disparity. So many parents ( not me!) got so angry that the ref had to be escorted out of the gym and to his car. The whole gym was subsequently chastised by the CYO leader. People get hot.
