Not a good start to see both Cynthia (crutches and boot) and Ariel on the sidelines and not in playing condition. Anyone have info?

They just gave an update on BTN. Ariel - bone bruise, Cynthia - stress fracture, Shrita - groin pull.

ugh

Please cheer for us... couldn't make it down there tonight.

Agreed. Harris really looks promising!

And Scaife is one of the best jump shooters I've ever seen... she is just so impressive.

score,please
no idea. it's halftime now, but gametracker froze at 32-20 with just under 3 minutes to play. and BTN"plus" lost the announcer feed during the 2nd quarter. (I can hear crowd and court noises, just no commentary.) No on-screen score, either. And they charge $10/month for this, really?

aha found this on twitter:

HALFTIME: #RHoops 38, Illinois 26 - RU: Scaife 16 pts; Hollivay 12 pts, 8 reb; Copper 6 pts

Hollivay and Scaife are both in the zone.

Everyone is doing decently. I think Briyona is channeling 'Nova -- she looks to the bench for every play. Whatever we are doing is working. Illini are shooting 39% vs. our 55%. And we are 6/6 from the line.

sucks about the injuries but if anytime was a good time it was this game, Illinois is bottom feeder. Hopefuly Butts and Parker are available next game. It would seem Hernandez might be out extended time

keep it going in the 2nd half and close it out

I see Indiana getting ready to beat Michigan State...huge upset. Nebby beat PSU to move to 2-3 in league. RU now tied with MSU for 4th place...Iowa could move in with us if they beat Wisky (currently up 5 at half)

I am going to be greedy, I want a road sweep of Nebby and Michigan State. I think the Nebby game is mandatory or at least splitting these games. To be 3-4 with OSU barreling is not a good look.

Going to be tough with a depleted roster. Hernandez on crutches doesn't look to be back anytime soon. Hopefully Parker and Butts get back. Bench was very thin tonight and didn't provide much help.

Glad for the win (we can't afford any wtf games), but upset with the injuries.
Heal up ladies, we need you all.

Is Tyler on pace for 2000 points? Thanks.
No question. Assuming conservatively 15 more games this year and at least 30 next year, she can average 15 points a game to reach 2000. Obviously the deeper we can go in the B1G tournament each year and any NCAA appearances will increase the number of games she plays.

In the remaining road games Scaife and Copper need to average around 20 points a game if Rutgers expects to win. Both players will graduate with high rankings in Rutgers womens basketball.

To give you an idea of what kind of year Tyler is having, she started with 1,025 points, good for 35th all time. She's scored (by my count) 304 points so far this season, which puts her in 18th place, tied with Kia. At her current pace, she would have another 250 points by the 1st game of the B1G tournament, for a total of 1,579, which would put her in 10th place all time, ahead of Piph. (I'm making an assumption about Kahleah here, but it's a pretty reasonable one, as you'll see in the next paragraph.)

Kahleah's not exactly doing badly, either. She started with 1,271, 21st all time, and now has (again, by my count) 1,564, 294 so far this year, which puts here in 9th. At her current pace, she would have another 242 points by the 1st game of the B1G tournament, for a total of 1,806, which would be 4th all time, just one point shy of Regina Howard. (Cappie is about 400 points ahead of Howard, so Kahleah has no realistic shot of ending up in 2nd.)

Yes, it's time for another milestone watch update.
