I would support killing basketball in favor of hockey. The hockey sticks could resemble a green corn stalk with a golden ear of corn for the paddle, make the Zamboni look like a combine and we are in business

If your posts are nothing else, they are certainly entertaining. How do you feel about the return of Coach Solich and associated festivities last weekend? When TO retired some of us felt AD Bryne should have been allowed to do a national search. Unfortunately, I believe most people were fine with Osborne anointing Solich as next head coach when Byrne was on vacation. I assume in your scheme and lexicon the people who were cool with Solich getting the nod because he was a legacy (the AD be damned) were that era's "cleti" and "knuckle draggers". If so, then the festivities last weekend were attended mostly by the 1997-2003 era cleti. And in that case, I assume you take a dim view of Frank being so honored?

I only like these Friday games when they don't compete against Friday Night Lights in high school. In other words, in November.
And watch out for the Fat Man!! Beavis/But-Head improved from 5-7 to a bowl game in 2 years. Yep, Illinois was 1-4 in the last 4 games, but Illinois played very tough in all of those games.

Their D coordinator is now the head coach at Purdue. They promoted their DB coach to the position. Should be interesting.
My daughter goes to Illinois. We are planning on going to the game. Just makes it harder with it being a Friday night.

Very true. As much as I like to ***** about things like this development and playing MI, OSU and PSU most years, our brand is what got us in the league. And the way things are shaping up, if not in the B1G or SEC, we'd be toast.
