Illini center Kofi Cockburn is 7" 290 He is a zip code. There aren't many guys like him anymore. Just huge..

Rutgers has to take advantage of when Cockburn sits. Have to figure out a way to get him into foul trouble. Otherwise, I think Rutgers matchups well with everyone else.

Really wish we’d have Geo for this game. I worry we’ll miss him here against their ball pressure.

Going back to last year, Illinois can look like a contender for the B1G title one game and basement the next. One day they're blowing a 20+ point 2nd half lead to UMd or being blown out vs MSU and the next beating Michigan or crushing Purdue.

Just have to hope you get them on a down night:)

how will we stop Georgi...he seems to be struggling a bit with his shot of late but what will be different from last year on how we try to defend him

His game last year was a once in a lifetime “feeling it” game. We could’ve put someone on his shoulders and he would’ve found a way to get his baby hooks to go down still

We might need to play 2 bigs at times against Illinois. Between Georgi and Kofi, that's a major nightmare for our front line.

Thankfully, with the year Kofi is having, I suspect he's a 1-and-done. But that won't help us on Saturday!

Purdue played a bunch of Williams and Haarms. Those are 2 games where Shaq and Duke may need to play a bit.

True but looked like absolute garbage against Missouri a week earlier on a neutral court. They are not this juganaut like Michigan State and they are beatable. Our bigs have to come to play and team and especially our guards have to rebound. We have shot better than them this year. Will be a war on Saturday but first we have to get through the war against Penn State tomorrow night.

They have gone away from Giorgi to some extent and pound it down low to Cockburn , who is a load. Giorgi will be trying to clean up on the offensive glass. He also seems to be getting into foul trouble a little more this year. Our defense has to be really ratcheted up.

What’s different is Giorgi is rarely in the post where his post moves are his best weapon. Have to play Kofi there because he’s a monster but Giorgi has had some difficulty adjusting to the four. He is not a good outside shooter. His entry passes to Kofi are great and he is totally unselfish, but his scoring has decreased at his new position.
