Im just going to delete my first post because it can be construed as placing blame on Dak. That wasn't my gist, carry on

The people laughing at a guy bleeding from his head, chest, and back are different from me. I promise you I wouldn't be happy to even see Marshall Henderson beat up. They need to get a reality check. It's ok to hate/dislike your rivals but truly laughing at their physical harm is ridiculous.

ETA: the OM players now making some of their fans look like asshats. Elston tweeted support at Dak.

I wouldn't want to see a video of 6 or 7 dudes piled up on Robert Knemdichie.

I don't know the extent of Dak's injuries, but it could have been so much worse. It's the world we live in.

ETA: Dak may need an entourage if cares to mix in these crowds.

This made me laugh from the comments to that "article"

I’m very skeptical that this was another fan base that targeted him because he played for Ole Miss. But in the unlikely event they were….they should take a long walk off a short pier."

Probably because fans are disconnected from what happens on the field, and rivalries aside, for the most part, there is a mutual respect amongst players even in a rivalry.

I'm going

to guess its the usual cast of characters (bopolis, jughead, rebels7). That board has completely gone to ****. At one point there was some funny stuff, but now it's just a bunch of crazy ******** that make eggbowl.com seem tame.

Which begs the question...

Gary Parrish(CBS Sports) put an article up about this early this morning, and there were immediately about a dozen comments from Ole Miss fans making fun of the situation. One even posted a pic of Chad Kelly in Haiti(or wherever he is) to show what their players do on spring break. So the question is... had this been an OM player, would there be this many State fans taking jabs? It's pathetic

Dak can't put himself in those situations. He is too high profile to mingle with the common folk in PCB at a concert.

When something happens to a Ole Miss guy, Nafoom has to defend mainly because it's the Ole Miss guy who started the trouble. That's the Difference between us and them.

Would there be any State fans taking jabs? Did you miss all of the threads on Wallace, Nkemdiche, and Kelly over the years?

Are idiots in fanbase X constantly looking for a reason make fun of fanbase Y? Yes they are.

you guys are ratilonal and reasonable. but had this been an ole miss player then yes there would be state fans taking jabs.....as many? who knows but probably. every fanbase has its dipsticks. consider elitedawgs, most of whom were run off from SPS.

I do have a question....in the pics it looks like dak had a number of "cuts". were there knives involved?

Supposedly bottles. And a quite obvious kick to the face in a curb stomping action afterwards if you've seen video.

I'm not talking about making fun of an opposing player in general. I'm talking about taking jabs at a kid after getting jumped and beaten by a pack of kids. Little bit different from a guy getting kicked out of a club and threatening to spray the place with his AK

Except all the video shows is him already bleeding and getting beaten by doormen.

And the picture of Bo getting sucker punched makes its rounds here pretty regularly.

Yea, Dak's incident was a bit more extreme than either of those, but State fans don't mind making jabs at them.
