Have you ever been to the Mexican border? I used to go Nauvo Norrado (spelling), the Mexican side across from Brownsville Texas. We would leave our car in Brownsville and walk across with our kids and spend the day. Bought alcohol, beer, blankets, etc. Went there 3 years in row and never had a problem. This was 20 plus years ago.
Now the same city is now the murder capital of the world and Americans never cross the boarder. The cartels run the city and it is not safe for anyone. Why do cartels run cities on the boarder? I think it's because of the drugs and human trafficking going on at the boarder. And before you say, it comes across at ports of entry, they also run it through areas away from ports. Cartels use lots of ways to get drugs across the boarder. Anything we can do to slow this down works for me. This has been proven by every administration since the 50's. What has changed now, Ameriacn's are dying by alarming rates due to illegal drugs. I don't care what they call it, but something has to done!
