Can Alabama get guys like this without Lance Thompson?
Hello from a random hotel in Columbus, Miss., where I have stopped on my way back from Starkville. As you may or may not know by now, there is some Alabama football news happening.
And it's not good for the Crimson Tide.

Outside linebackers coach Lance Thompson, the reigning Rivals.com recruiter of the year, is on his way to Knoxville where he is poised to join the staff of new Tennessee coach Lane Kiffin, two sources with knowledge of the situation confirmed to The News.

Nothing official yet from either school, though that may be a formality. A tough, tough blow for Alabama, considering Thompson recruited guys like Julio Jones, Trent Richardson, and other blue-chippers. I'll have more when I get back to Tuscaloosa...

First Orgeron and now Thompson....Looks like UT knows Kiffen is a marginal coach, and is throwing as much money as possible at solid coaches (Monte Kiffen) and recruiters (Orgeron, Thompson, etc).
