This is coming from Darren Rovell, but if true, it's all you need to know.

It’s not even close to true. It’s more like 25%, as several national reporters told him shortly after he tweeted that drivel.

Ticket Revenue @ 25% is low if you include seat license dollars. Television accounts +/-half of Athletic Department Revenue, but 25% for ticket revenue for SEC schools is not a realistic number.

It's all good. Saban gonna go tell Trump to put college football in the next bailout package.

I think the 75% could be very true if you consider the smaller schools that don't get big TV money.

Im quoting national college football writers who have collected data.

They separated ticket revenue & seat license revenue in the examples that I saw posted for several Power 5 schools. I am combining those numbers as ticket revenue. See the 2018 SEC numbers below - a significant portion of Donor Contributions is suite rentals, club level seats, & private seat licenses.

Supposedly Saban is endorsing Joe Biden.

Saban gonna go tell Joe Biden to include college football in the next bailout... Joe Biden gets confused and launches nuclear arsenal at moon and eliminates tide forever in ultimate irony.

Side Note: I think it's ridiculous that a lot of those G5 programs fund 1/3 of their athletic budget by charging insanely high student fees. Seeing the attendance at those schools, it's obvious that most of the students don't even care about athletics. Example: FIU has 55,000 students and is located in a metro area with over 6 million people, yet their football stadium only has 20k seats, the majority of which are empty for most games.

We tanked a much larger revenue stream than college foosball. Its gone. We might as well figure out what we can do with that real estate.

If you combine ticket sales, all of donor funds (though not every donation is related to seat licensing) and corporate sponsorship (assuming they’re not selling ads in an empty stadium though, again, this is an oversimplification) you get to 56%. A huge number, obviously, but a far cry from 75%.
