Gotta be honest here, I know very little about the East, that being said, 1-4 in the West will probably produce the 4A state title winner. From what I’ve heard, Cramer will be a tough out. Gonna be fun for you all in 4A

Don't count Reidsville out, some of these teams in the West have had hard time with them in the past.

Yep, think we can be in the mix. We've had a weird year with injuries and other things this year. But think we are ready for the playoffs. I think we should really only have the loss to Reagan. Having said that we will have a very difficult road.

I don’t think the Rams are ever counted out, until they are actually out.

I would like to see this whole projection spread out in a bracket style layout for all future possibilities but I got asked last night if they divide the seeds odd and even. Let me explain. So when the bracket comes out they put 1 up top and 2 at the bottom and build from that. If 1-4 stays the same would it mean 1,3,5,6,7 go to the top and 2,4,6,8 go to the bottom? If it does and SC rises to 7, you would have Hibriten, WI and SC all on one side? That would be brutal....

1 usually gets 4 and 2 and 3 on same side
Correct, if Cramer stayed 8 and 1-4 remain the same and the bracket goes chalk.

Cramer (8) would meet West Iredell (1) in the 3rd and the winner of that game would meet Burns (4) in the 4th.

If Cramer(7) goes 7, Tuscola (2) and Cramer (7) meet in the 3rd and then the winner meets Hibriten (3) in the 4th.

I see what you’re saying, just break out the brackets by odds and evens. I just don’t think they will ever do that because in theory it would be better to be the 2 Seed than the 1 Seed. Also if Cramer doesn’t move from 8 to 7, we will have WI, Burns, and Cramer on one side of the bracket (don’t smile too much Beamer) and that sounds brutal too.

Cummings has a rough year last year, but the previous four years before that they had 8+ win seasons. Same with North Moore, last year was rough but before that they were 7-6, 10-3, 13-1,
Agreed. I've covered high school football for over 40 years as an AP writer/stringer/correspondent and poll voter, and collapses such as these wreck havoc on teams who "turn it around" or suddenly "rise." I still scratch my head at situations like North Moore, whose program has ended games after the 3rd quarter or forfeited them altogether this season alone, and they were back to back conference champions only two seasons back. This is not confined to the Robbins-based high school either. As a result, entire conferences and individual schools who may be 9-1 or 8-2 inside their conference may not get the respect earned/deserved. Then there's the single biggest element in the room: how much has this new realignment screwed up high school football in NC?

Why scratch your head, they had to move up because of ADM, not longer playing the small 1a schools. Same thing with all these FAKE schools dominating the small 1a -2a divisions. Charter schools, getting kids from all over to come play.

If Cramer stays in that heavy package. You better have some big DL or it’s going to be a long night. If they stayed in the heavy package against burns / Shelby they would be undefeated

Upfront they are 300lbs cleat to cleat

When I mean big DL. I mean 260-300 athletic DL.
You better have it

Cramer has a ton OL/DL and Combo players. TE are big and athletic. They have 2 D1 TE/WR/FB 6’3 265,
6’4 230

Also LR commit 6’3 230 That plays safety/ WR

Also have speed with No.2 , No.13 are fast skill players

they will be a nightmare in that 4A playoff

Sounds like bad coaching to ever go out of the heavy package tbh

I seen that heavy package teams better be ready for that if you can.

I really like this Big Red bracket. I’m embarrassed to say that I didn’t notice that it tells you how many spots a team moved. I was blown away that Bunn moved up 8 spots!….this late in the year?….with their win over Louisburg.

There were big moves in the East bracket compared to the West. Maybe it’s common…I don’t know…but it surprised me.

Our big move was because we beat the only other good team in our conference. I feel like we are a quality team but it will take a couple of playoff games to prove it.
