Yeah. Sadly, most of the above is pretty accurate. We don't have an edge anymore, and we don't look like a very competent football team.

I really want Bill Moos to fix it. Make a bold hire, cause a sea change. This program badly, badly needs it.

What is the single most apparent thing that could be pointed at? Win/loss record? UNI? Some of the boat races? Lack of improvement? New AD? To me it was the thousands of tickets on sale on the internet and downtown for less than $20. That went unsold and unused. Add to that the emptiness of the stadium. While some of the other things led to the attendance situation I believe that is the straw that broke the camels back. The fans spoke. Not big money......little money.... but a lot of them.

Hey have any you back in Lincoln noticed any sense of resignation by Riley and his staff? I know it is early. Still I have no idea if Riley ever bought another house after the one he bought made his wife sick. Have any houses from staff shown up on the market. Any rumors about coaches moving on. I know when riley first came to Lincoln he had a younger blonde support staffer that he brought with from Corvallis. She use to be on the sidelines of the games and on the team's website, but I don't see her anymore. I assume she moved back home.

It's the record. I get where people talk about being soft, running a complicated pro-style offense, don't hit in practice, and the like. I believe those are all symptoms of the poor record we have. However, if we somehow could be the St. Louis Rams and be "the greatest show on turf" nobody would care. (I don't think that flies in college football but, if somehow we won doing it, people wouldn't care.) It's always the record.
I see the complicated scheme the lack of accountability and the softness/not hitting enough in practice as the causes. The poor records are the effects/symptoms. I dont see the core of what this staff does changing. And because that core is the root of the problems imo its time for a change. There are many more reasons such as his age.......
