That was the game, along with the bad call on Souf. They made plays and FTs down the stretch to close it out, but we played them even.

But he did. End of story. Another what if to me is - what if Corey, the guy who thinks he has an NBA future, did for us what Walker did for them. Isn't that what he is supposed to do.
Walker sealed that game for them at the end taking tha game over. But the lead did not stretch during his run. He held it...after Eugene AND Corey matched buckets during the stretch. See the box. Overall, Corey had a good game. Turning point was Freeman going out with his “injury”. Never fully recovered after that.

Senior Mike and Geo gave us nothing.

Really? We were up by three with momentum when Walker scored nine consecutive points by himself in the 11 point run. Of course, six of those points came on a four against five situation when Freeman went down followed by three gift free throws.

Was there. Refs were pretty bad. Especially against us. That phantom souf foul and a few others. Was really unfair. The one on Corey.... which they had to assign it to someone who didn’t foul after the review.

Freeman doesn’t go down and the refs don’t blow we win by 5 not lose. We are looking light years better. 17-18 wins this year

Well I’m talking end of game not beginning of the half. Walker was a man today and owned the 2nd half. After Walker ties the game early in the 2nd and starts to go off it looks dire but Eugene and and Corey got it back to 3 inside 4 minutes. Then Walker went off again.

One can say Walker took the game over. Another can say Freeman and Sanders couldn't defend the screen.

I am going to go with the later. Pikiell tried again to give Sanders rest on 3 different occasions, but couldn't.

Freeman going down with the cramps was definitely the turning point. We sagged when it happened and FSU took advantage of it going on a run. Then at the end the little guy - Walker - stole the show. Was a terrific game and so excited for the balance of the season as well as the future.

I think the team had a collective mental toughness lapse when Freeman went down, and FSU exploited it... if he doesn't go down, the game may have ended differently. No way to know, but those things happen in basketball. Team fought hard against a very good opponent - great experience for later in the year, and I think we're going to surprise some people.
