Stevens clearly said no in an interview yesterday. Poor poor IU.
Wrong.

Realistic expectations? Probably similar to what Izzo has done the last 20 years. Not necessarily get to all the FFs just have us in the mix most years. Most would be thrilled with that.
I’m usually positive and I think I would implode lolIf Brad Stevens goes to IU some of the negative posters on this board might implode and form a supermassive black hole.

TriggeredWhat does this comment even mean? “Negative posters”?
You mean the posters who no longer care for John Calipari and discuss the worst season in Kentucky basketball history?
Brad Stevens can actually coach- he will never go to IU but if he did they would become very legit. Nobody would “implode”. That’s a stupid thing to say. People will say that Brad and IU would/ could be more successful than UK in the coming years. Is that “imploding”?
You are so enamored and obsessed with defending John Calipari (Calipari first fan) and disparaging those who no longer respect or support him (large portion of the fan base) that it’s starting to cloud your ability to be rational and objective. You just gaslight and project all the time.
Just being honest man- it’s hard to really take you seriously.
Yes he clearly did. Quit being delusional!Wrong.
Lot of people on Twitter saying Stevens to IU will be announced today or tomorrow.
We can all agree on not liking Goodman! Total douchebag.I'm a fairly well sourced IU fan. Stevens is giving it serious consideration, but I'm not expecting anything imminent.
Obviously I want Brad Stevens at IU because he is a really good coach, but also because I hate Jeff Goodman.
If Beard goes to Indiana, I don't know if he will win or not, but I can one thing. There will Indiana players flopping all over the floor. Beard's teams do more flopping than duke does. That will be ok, because I can't stand that flopping crap, so I can continue to hate Indiana. He’s not going there. Chris Beard from Texas Tech will be their new coach. Will he win? Indiana just doesn’t draw the elite recruits any more. They can be a solid mid major with an occasional trip to the tournament but they will never be an elite, consistent top tier team. The game passed them by. They never adapted. They adored a guy who should have been fired 10 years earlier. Nobody’s afraid of them.
Don't let the crazies represent the whole fan base. Us Hoosiers aren't alone in having some unrealistic crazy fans. What I posted above would be the general expectations for most of the fan base. Not saying it's certain or even likely but, there is a ton of "smoke" on several IU messageboards. Very similar to what we were seeing here, on Maggards board and a few others leading up to getting Cal. There apparently have been some meetings...as in, more than one. I'd say it's at least 50/50 right now. Wouldn't have believed that just a few days ago.
UK is casually mentioned on a few IU boards through all of this. Mostly in a disparaging way (understandable) but, a couple posters on that BtownBanners board seem to think Stevens at IU would have the rest of college basketball trembling with fear. While, getting BS would be a total home run hire by IU, I hardly think it will terrify anyone. LOL!
B1G isn't a easy conference to dominate. Illinois is on the rise, Michigan and OSU are as well. MSU remains strong, even with a sub-standard showing this year. And then there is Iowa, Wisconsin and Purdue. Those programs aren't just going to rollover for anyone, including Brad Stevens at IU.

What would be the realistic expectations. Some seem to think he is hands down the next John Wooden. I've also seen it pointed out that he benefitted from a weaker conference and some players that were surprisingly much than expected. Lightning in a bottle if you will.
Don't get me wrong he would be a great hire for anyone, but the legend of Brad Stevens may be a unicorn.
Didn't Stevens hate recruiting, allegedly?
Then good luck dealing with AAU parasites who all think their son/nephew/cousin is the next LeBron and should play 35 minutes a game with 20 shots allowed minimum
