To be honest, I’m actually appalled by how this Ash thing is working. He is an elite DC but he needs elite players and it seems like all your older players have peaked. I think what’s going on is he went full Lovie Smith and started the youth movement because he has hungry young players who are tired of waiting on “soft upperclassmen who feel in titled to playing time because “they have been thru the wars”. Think about it. The record for the upperclassmen is 11-32 overall and 4-22 in conference play. It seems like you have a lot of “my stat” guys and not a lot of “team” guys. What’s the point of leading the conference in tackles when the runner has already gained 10 yards. If you had a squad full of #10’s( the RB) you would see progress. That kid runs like his life depends on it and after reading about his life I see why he reacts the way he does after every play. He wants it that bad. I see him yelling at an OL if they missed a block. I have seen him basically take the job from the others. He willed that team to that touchdown. Those are the players you need.
