Icing the kicker

Seems like two time outs might be a better strategy. After two, the kicker is still wondering if he going to kick or not. After the third one, there is no question: he is going to kick.
Wonder what the “analytics” would say.

On WGN radio, Jeff Budzien (sideline reporter) was saying that NOT taking the 3rd would have kept the kicker more off guard. Budzien said he had coached Fitz about NOT letting the kicker get a practice kick (calling the timeout too late). "It's been about five minutes since he was warming up in the net" is basically what Budzien said and that icing can have an effect, as kickers prefer to run right from the practice net into the game kick.

I had the same thought. Call two timeouts but not the third. Make him think it's coming, but then he has to kick.

Fitz: stats and analytics are ********
Fitz: debunked olde-timey head games are great!
