me too. it's a scientific fact that players look cooler with dirt/grass stains.

Heck, I wouldn’t mind a indoor dom. Then weather would never be an issue for us...during home games anyways.
But then we wouldnt have anymore rain dance concerts!!

They'd tear down the south side, build it higher and steeper with box suites. Reduce the overall number of seats while they're at it.

Has there been any serious mention on what will be done to the stadium next. There hasn't been a real construction effort since what 2004.
"In 2004, construction began to renovate and expand the north end zone, adding an additional 6,000 seats and 13 luxury boxes called "Skyline Suites", which brought capacity to 81,067. At the time of its completion in 2004, the 33-foot (10 m) tall, 120-foot (37 m) wide scoreboard at Memorial Stadium was the largest in any college football stadium (it is now twentieth). "

We are falling behind the rest of the country not only in little things like scoreboard but everything. If we want to keep up with Michigan, Ohio St, Alabama It is time to upgrade and modernize. Have heard a new/ bigger weight room is needed to keep up with other schools in the BIG10.
Any other thoughts on what needs to be remodeled, upgraded, built, expanded, ect?

UCF plays in Florida.. Com’on U not serious..

what's that got to do with it? Northwestern has an awesome natural turf field and chicagoland gets like 15 minutes of sunshine per year

michigan state does, too

you said our offense isn't built on having real grass if conditions were difficult. perhaps the most incorrect statement in the history of this forum.

And NW field usually is a piece of crap field sometime during the year more often than not...

What do you know, you ever seen a Nebraska game with real grass I have and many other places in the Big 8 too...

Check out some bowl games at the Citrus Bowl before they put in Field turf and it might change be your mind quickly..

breaking news from 2019: drainage exists

CU has a natural surface, so does ISU and the aforementioned NW, which looked pretty nice from the sideline in '12 and front row in '14 and '16

appreciate the input, gramps. it's very cute you can use the internet!

Okay Sonny, NW grew the grass 4 inchesEek tall you couldn’t hit a golf ball out of that rough..( you do golf don’t you):p

Take it you didn’t see the Citrus Bowl that LSU played in a few years back that was why they went to field turf...

A field like that would just favor a Ioway or Wisconsin but you’re pig headed and won’t admit it.Winking

Respect your elders and you will go further in life..

'our offense isn't built for grass in difficult conditions' - @scarletred

literally our offense on grass in difficult conditions after 1 second of research:
https://www.usatoday.com/story/spor...nnati-51-23-in-rain-shortened-game/106435314/

51 points in not quite 3 quarters, yet I'm wrong and pig-headed? what a world

LOl at you: quote “And No 25 UCF scored every time it had the ball till the storms moved in Saturday night, and prematurely ended with a 51-23 victory”

Okay millennial !

yea you're right. scoring 8 straight times in the rain before lightning canceled the game is bad.

our offense isn't built for bad weather. really slow at UCF on wet grass, and it never rains in Oregon.

don't skip your monday medications. it's almost bed time!

Gosh can you imagine the forward thinking of increasing the ante in the facilities arms race if the Cornhuskers could demo the old girl, or at least separate the facade, and add it back to a retractable domed stadium built from the ground up with all the modern amenities?

Sort of like the Gator bowl layout with a retractable dome, consessions on ground level and concourse level halfway up. Individual seating with arm rests and cup holders.

I'd probably go to more than one game a year, might even buy season tickets. Right now, my lazyboy and too big TV are just so much more comfortable for the price.

I think they should start replacing the benches with chairs. It would bring the capacity down slightly, but increase comfort.

Also need to redo the south stadium, that's some 3rd world **** on that end.

Yes get rid of those benches. Almost always get stuck next to that 300 lbs man or woman who ends up taking their space and half of yours.

I totally agree. I'm a big guy and I have some back issues. Sitting on small bleachers hurts my experience enough I only make it to 1-2 games a year. Put in some bucket seats and I'd be more willing to go to more games.

Or you can have the situation I had to face at a Wisconsin game a few years back. Two good looking young woman appeared near the end of the first quarter and it turned out they had the two seats next to me. Unfortunately, there was space for one and maybe a quarter girl butts. So one, after asking very politely, ended up sitting half in my lap and half in her friends lap. Damn, I hated those tight quarters that night!
