I was impressed with the broadcast crew last night

They talked about the baseball team and the Dude, the 2014 football team, Mike Leach's history and this year's fiotball team. It was the best job of coverage this year in my personal opinion.

I like Cole a lot on the sideline. Jordan Rodgers is ok sometimes but I didn’t like him much last night. I thought whoever the other guy was was pretty good

My preference would be the old days (Cosell and Meredith) when all they talked about was what was going on on the field. Now I watch with the audio off, except when there is a review or some kind of controversy. Can't stand the yak, yak, yak.

I detest the announcers that start talking about Alabama or Georgia when we are playing. I tune in to watch the game on the field not hear a commercial for another upcoming game from some talking head.

Jordan Rodgers should have been booted from air the second time he said the word “analytics” on air which was 3-4 years ago. They should have pulled him immediately Saturday night when he said you’ve got to follow the wins as his justification for having Cincinnati at #2 in his CFP ranking predictions.

Seems like ESPN is trying make him their next Herbstreit.

Rodgers, Mowins, Brock Huard, Herbstreit, Gus Johnson are all valid reasons to mute the TV or consider switching to a different game.

I've always liked Rogers. He seems like the less douche of the two brothers. He has some pretty good incite. He was a a hell of a qb at vandy and that was impressive.

I really don't have a problem with McElroy either. I think they both call games pretty objectively and honestly. Some fans just don't like that. They also don't hit the same dumb talking points they were fed just two days prior

I agree with everything you said. I just got tired of hearing him talk about analytics by the end of the first half of the first game I ever heard him work prob 4 years ago. It just gets annoying to listen to. Call the game. Talk about the teams playing. Don’t need him telling me statistics say the team should punt of go for it.

Plus anybody with any sense knows that Cincinnati isn’t the 2nd best team in the country. His logic would say any undefeated team should be up there regardless of schedule which is a dumb take.

Those three are the best IMO. They really get into the game and work really well with each other. They bring humor in as well. The did our A&M game and they stuck out to me. Rogers has gotten a lot better. Cole Cubilic is hilarious too, but clearly has great knowledge of the game too.

Contrast them with McElroy. McElroy is as useless as a wet paper sack. Never seen a guy with less talent accomplish more at his profession than that guy.

Can you provide a good example of McElroy providing good talking points?

He excruciating to listen to during booth reviews. He brings nothing to the table. The most unimaginative broadcaster I've ever listened to. A true captain obvious.
