Tonight was a special night for myself & my dad! You see back in February, the 5th to be exact, my dad had to have his right leg amputated.. It was a really difficult situation, and has been for the last 7 months, due to some other complications.. However back when he first had his leg taken, our goal was to be able to go to a football game and he be able to walk into it (it was actually supposed to be going to a Panthers game, but the point is still the same).. Well tonight I'm blessed to say I took my Dad to the Burns/Crest game, and it was the first time he has been able to go anywhere with his new prosthetic and a walker! NO WHEELCHAIR! I know this isn't exactly football related... But it's been a difficult 7 months, and tonight, he accomplished a huge goal!

So the moral of this is, no matter what life throws at you, hit it head on & crush it!)

I know exactly how you feel, my father lost both his legs (from knee down) and he had the same goal each time it happened for each leg and he even got to hit a few golf balls on the course which he loved. I sympathize with you and appreciate your father for all he is, I have since lost my dad and miss him everyday but especially during football season ACR football was his favorite thing!

This is football related. This is exactly what high school football is about, father and son making memories and bonding. Congrats to your father for accomplishing a goal and to you for helping him.
