I went out for a drive and turned on the radio. I couldn’t watch the hack fest and the crap calls. And when PJ clanked that bunny to start the second half, I needed some air.

It is passion. And I’m a PASSIONATE UK fan.

I’m sure the people at Sonic tonight thought I was a mental patient the way is was screaming YES! in the car as Knox hit that three.

Cindog...don't fret...that's just life as a CAT fan. There will be people beating their chest and howling how anyone could turn the CATS off, Blah, Blah, Blah...I just roll my eyes. Hell, I had Big Blue losing tonight on Old Reds prediction game so tonight's wins makes it even sweeter for me seeing them beat WVU in Morgantown!

OK, don't do it again. I kid. I usually wait a little longer before turning it off. But I do know better. Once I listened to Cawood call the last 6 secs of a game at Rupp down to Kansas by 6. UK won. There was no 3 pt shot then.
I was watching that game and still didn't believe it happened.

Cindy I sentence you to a meal at the Cardinal Cafe
Also, want you to say three Hail Cals

The Madrid Gras miracle is the only game I’ve EVER turned off. Didn’t know we had won until my husband came home from work and told me
I’ve kept every single game on since, no matter how bad it gets

Cindy I sentence you to a meal at the Cardinal Cafe (THAT's CRUEL!)

The Madrid Gras miracle is the only game I’ve EVER turned off. I remember waking my wife up and telling her the CATS had cut the score to 2...she said, "You're lying and went back to sleep...she missed out. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Out of frustration and chest pains I turned the UK/WVU game off before halftime.

14 text messages later I turn the game back on and watched UK come all the way back and WIN!!

I can't recall the last game I stopped watching, but it won't happen again.

Love you, BBN!! Thanks for the keeping the faith when I momentarily lost it.

No game is worth a heart attack. Hope you are feeling better.

The first half was beyond bad. I kept fluctuating between giving up and finding a way for us to come back. I figured we would get close and then get killed with no calls. As it turns out there were several no calls but the guys kept plowing. So proud of this team for never giving up and beyond that they didn't shoot themselves in the foot down the stretch.

Honestly if we simply take care of the ball and rebound decently we are hard to beat.

I am going back this morning to re watch....the second half.

I remember friends telling me they turned the LSU game off when we came back from a 31 point deficit only to win. It happens if you don't give in.

My father asked me are you really gonna watch the second half of that LSU game. To which I replied yes we ain't losing this game. He told me I was crazy, then went ape **** when McCarty hit that shot to tie or put us ahead/ can't recall. He was in total disbelief, me not too much, but I was young and dumb at the time.

Did the same Cindog. I actually think we're responsible for the comeback. We changed the dynamic of the game.

Never apologize, it's a sign of weakness.

Look, the dude that said we were going to win at halftime, well I laughed at him, as did every other fan did. I guarantee he didn’t believe it either, let’s just focus on being excited for the win. We’re all fans, we have different mindsets and emotions, But we’re still all Ky fans.

I didn't "believe" it. I knew it. I had a feeling n my gut. I can't explain it. I called this win way before the game started; days before. I can't explain it to you, but my gut feeling is always accurate. I only get the feeling about twice per season, but when I do, it's accurate. I didn't just believe it, I knew we would win.

You're all welcome. We were sitting at a high top in the back of Ethereal as that's the only place a table that could accommodate 3 of us was. Normally we sit at the bar for the game, and of course the Cats always win.

At halftime 3 bar stools opened up and we made the adjustment and snagged em. The rest is history.

So again, you're all welcome.

OP, my son & I request that you not watch any more UK games, or watch the first minute and then turn it off. Maybe we're a bit superstitious. You turned the game off, and we went on something like a 55-30 run. Just saying.

White Fish

Absolutely beautiful. Best outdoor adventure I've ever been on.
My wife and I were in Whitefish in August. Unfortunately the forrest fires kept us from seeing the best part of Glacier Natl. Park. I agree that is a beautiful area.
I walked out of the Maryland game in 1959 at Memorial when we were 3 points behind with 3 seconds to go.[No 3pointers then.] Benny koffman drove for a layup and got fouled. we tied , went to overtime and won that game!
Never give up!!!!

:flushed: Worst thing is.... I'll do it too if it somehow helps UK win.

I thought we were done at the half. I almost didn't watch the second half and I turned it back on to see how they were doing and they were down by 10 so I rewound it to the start of the second half and watched it.

I think the most offensive thing you did was tell Cal to go put a suit on as if that matters. Lol

I personally prefer the football approach of khakis and a pullover.

I have to admit that I nearly turned the game off at the end of the first half. Instead, I took off my street shoes and put on my UK house shoes during half time. I will wear these slippers from tip to buzzer for all remaining games..

Only time I’ve ever turned off a Kentucky game was the VMI game.

There’s been times I’ve waved the white flag long before it was over, but I would still keep the game on and painfully keep up.
