So this year was easy? I think it all depends on how much talent is present in the coach’s first year. Frost didn’t have much talent to work with in his first year.

I think Frost had some talent. Just took a while for the players to completely buy in to this staff. Future looks bright for the Huskers.

Next year NU will be in its second year of its offensive and defensive systems, plays a much kinder B1G schedule and has tOSU, NW, Wisconsin and Iowa at home. The stadium stayed packed Saturday in bitter temp, driving wind and snow. It will be a tough place for visiting teams to get a win.

NU fans are some of the most knowledgeable in CFB. This season was not about the record it was about where we are headed and how does this staff handle themselves. So far:

• Shown they can keep a team through tough times
• Found a QB to build around
• Recruit well
• revamp S&C - I think next year the results are even more telling
• Install a mindset of physicality - still in process

I would say this year as tough as it has been has shown we are going in the right direction - I have no idea what that means for next year but I would be willing to bet it is better
