I put my Mississippi State flag on the side of the house before the CWS started. After we won I let it fly because I could not take it down since I was in the hospital and then stuck in the house.

Someone knocked it down once. My son put it back up and they ripped the flag off the pole and holder off the side of the house.

There are plenty of Ole Miss fans around too. Don't be shocked if they are the culprit. I could not get away from them in Dallas.

Open the wifi on your phone from the house. Look at all of the available signals. If you spot one with Hotty Toddy, Manning, Ole Miss, Rebel Fan, or Grove in the router name.. you know that something is rotten in the state of Denmark.

Texans have this weird thing about flags. At Hood Scout Reservation in 2019, there was a Troop from Texas that showed up at all formal gatherings with the TX flag. No big deal.

This year, a different Troop from TX not only did the same thing, but asked to be allowed to raise the TX in place of the MS flag at camp. The program director allowed it. Needless to say, this did not go over very well, even with another Troop from TX. They asked that we not lump them in with the first Troop.

Agreed. I co-oped in Texas and had Aggies friends. Since I found being called a “Mississippi Bulldog” abhorrent, I asked them why they were ok with being called a “Texas Aggie” and leaving off the A&M moniker while doing. Basically, it was more about being a Texan. That was 20 plus years ago and things have changed, but the rivalry seemed just to be more regionalized than ours with Mississippi.
