The Michigan pieces of **** arrested for the plan to kidnap and kill the governor are the pinnacle of the entitlement attitude. They were pissed because a governor took necessary action in the interest of public health and safety and the pieces of **** got mad because they didn't get their way. It appears to me that mommy and daddy always took up for the spoiled children, even when they were wrong, and supported their bad choices as they were growing up, enabling their poor choices and the resulting consequences. It reminds me of the whiny little bitches on this board losing their **** over wearings masks.

I was born in 89 and my *** still got whipped with a switch. You had to go pick your switch and you learned quickly that the smaller switches hurt worse than the big ones.

Putting your hands on kids is lazy parenting. I do agree setting rules, sticking to them and holding your kids accountable is the way. Its harder to discipline someone w/out using your hands. Not saying its not warranted at times. Would never touch my daughter, but I have whipped my boys for putting their hands on her. But you can eliminate entitlement w/out that.
The whole everyone gets a trophy stuff is BS too. I've refused several trophies for my kids, because the whole idea of trophies for participation is ridiculous. That is the definition of entitlement.
Having raised seven kids myself (with my Wife's help of course) I'm convinced kids understand loss of freedom and privileges more than anything else. Particularly when they get older, preventing them from doing things they feel gives them their freedom or "independence" is the most effective way to discipline them.
When you stop and think about it, isn't that what we do to chastise adults too? Mess up? You go to jail. Refuse to pay a bill....your money or wages or property is confiscated. Screw up on the job...you get fired. Loss of freedom, loss of privilege. No one spanks you for refusing to pay a bill. You get sued and your wages get garnished or the repo man comes after your car!
When it comes to setting rules for kids, the sooner you get them to understand consequences to their actions the more effective you will be. Usually those consequences result in a loss of their personal freedom and/or privileges. It's a powerful lesson they need to learn early, and will always have repeated throughout their Life.
One of the key points there is "the sooner you get them to understand"....I had a girlfriend and her family who let her nephew do some things that weren't acceptable behavior. She said "he's just a baby. Once he gets about 4 we'll stop him". So basically you're going to let him do something for 4 years then try to reverse course. That makes no sense. Set your standards from Day One.

I think this has voting implications as well. It isn’t until kids grow up and face high taxes (loss of $$) or the loss of freedoms (like gun ownership or cancel culture vs free speech) that they learn the real power motives of liberals and their dirty play book to take and try to keep control of the country. And many are simply too lazy to educate themselves on what is happening to care.
You are interpreting those who spank do it on every form of discipline.
Ultimately, spanking is a parental decision to be made on an individual basis.
Do your research and talk to the people and experts in your life whom you trust. If you choose to spank, work to ensure you are only implementing this form of punishment in the calm and measured way the positive research suggests is necessary for it to be effective.
Beyond that, continue to love your children and provide a warm and caring home for them. All kids need that.
It's ironic the end result or ultimate consequence of continued voting for Leftist big Government Democrat/Socialists is a loss of your personal responsibility and Freedoms. Why more folks don't realize that is as perplexing to me as someone who believes those type folks really care about protecting your Liberty while they're asking for your vote. All they care about is getting elected, and staying elected so they get to control that big pile of money they confiscate from us through our taxes and which one of their well paid lobbyist friends it gets spent on?
