I think Trev made the right call.

This team has been in every single game this year. They've never given up. One or two bounces our way and we could be sitting at 10-0 and in the Top 3. Think about that. We have faced 4 teams in the Top 10 and by season's end, 7 teams in the current Top 25 - and we're a couple bounces our way from a perfect record.

Of the two choices Trev had, this one took the most guts. I'm glad he made it.

I'm ok with it BECAUSE it involves a new contract. Trev got us out of the Moos contract and that I consider a win today.

1 or 2 bounces would nullify 7 losses? Ok........

Frost knows we need to run the ball here. If he doesn't next year he's done

Save for the OSU game - 9 points (i.e., two bounces), we were one score away in all other games. That's one play.

I agree wholeheartedly with the second comment. I feel that we sometimes get too cute with the calls. Just run the ball and more good than bad will happen.

I actually don't think it's a bad move either. No talking head is going to wag their head and fingers at Nebraska for firing the HFBC if Scott fails next year. Infact it's a good look to show some grace toward a coach that bleeds for the University. Plus next year should be a far easier schedule.

And....especially if you've whiffed in getting interest from your list of desired replacement coaches....not that I know anything on that to be clear.

The final score was 30-22. I'm not sure where you're getting 9 from?
You clearly didnt watch the game. We were down 30-9 before a couple meaningless touchdowns. We were not a bounce or two away from winning that game and we certainly arent a few bounces from being 10-0.

From a wins and losses perspective, Frost should no longer be employed. But from a financial perspective, I can understand it. There wouldn't be a new contract if money wasn't impacted by this.

Now it's up to Frost to see if he can save his head coaching career or not. Good luck.

Now that it's done, it feels right.

Yeah I mean how many bounces do you want? The bounce on the onsides kick that we should have gotten? The strip-sack fumble in the last 2 minutes last week that was on the ground forever before OSU recovered? The bounces have been there for the past few years but even if we get them we still have to do the one thing we have shown consistently that we cannot do: score when it matters.

Financially I get it, but it shows we are no longer a big time program. Elite programs are not afraid to pay whatever to move on from a bad coach. Orgeron won a national title two years ago and has now had 2 years better than anything frost has had yet they are willing to pay him 17 million to get a better coach.

I hope everyone realizes that arguably 80% of our improvement has been on the side of the ball Frost has nothing to do with. So are we more worried about firing Frost or losing Chins?

Go watch the game again. It was closer than you're making it out to me.

I'm happy for the current players, coaches who are staying(?), and commits. For myself I'm glad this decision has been made sooner rather than later.

Who knows how this will play out? Maybe this is the start of something very good. I hope so.

Very over simplified. Just run the ball and get a few bounces and we will be playing for a NC. How about we actually learn how to block, pass protect, find open receivers, tackle and play special teams better? You sit around and wait for the favorable bounce that favors no one and if it really was chance, it would have evened out by now.
