Not Cal's fault. He can't shoot it for them. PJ missed a crap ton of free throws. No excuse. That's the game. Oh and green taking that stupid air ball 3 with 12 yes 12 seconds left. Wtf???

I do too. But that last few minutes was atrocious and he need to be held accountable for it.

No he can’t shoot for them. But he damn sure can recruit kids that can shoot. He also, can make an effort not to go to the kid that can’t throw it in the ocean from the line. It was 15 all over again. Best player on the floor and you don’t run your offense thru him when it mattered the most. I’m sorry but that’s really bad coaching

I do too. Believe it or not, sometimes team lose games. It happens. It sucks that we blew a great path to the FF, but it is what it is.

Cal had zero to do with this loss. If your mind is so small that it demands blame be placed, then get a dart board. We lost as a direct result of our inability to stop a hot shooting 3pt team versus our below average free throw shooting. End of story.

I love Cal and wouldn't trade him for any other coach in college basketball. Those damn free throws would've won us another title and been in the elite 8 this year. This will be another long summer again but I'm ready for the high school all star games.

Idk on cal whether he is the right fit anymore. I will always support whoever the coach is but too much talk from him about taking recruits and such has emboldened our adversaries. Now he doesn’t have that ability. Being critical of post season seedings and matchups and not seizing opportunity is another area I’m truly disappointed in him.

Since Saturday cal has been too loose to the point people say “swaggy cal” is back. Swaggy cal is the cal that chokes away opportunities. Cal just can no longer back his talk and that’s the crossroads we are at. Next year team will be on par with this one.

The negative ones are always the loudest lol

It’s kinda like aliens. They mostly come out after a loss, mostly.

Actually, I think 90% of the Nancy boys that start weeping after a loss are trolls from other fans bases. It’s pretty well known we have a wailing wall here after a game and that predictability makes us a patsy to troll. Then they start feeding off each other.

I’m done with him. He’s lost the one thing he ever had to begin with, recruiting, and he can’t win without it.

I’ve bitched about him since the Wisconsin loss but still wanted him here. I no longer care if he leaves. He choked at Memphis and he’s choked multiple titles away here as well. He lucked into #8. Getting one of the top 3 best players in the planet and a NBA lockout threat pushing players back here will never happen again.

Only thing Coach Cal needs to do is get some assassin type shooters in here. Give me some Brandon Knight, Doron Lamb, Jodie Meeks, etc types.

They were 1/12 from 3 the previous game. Yes they were hot tonight but they were given opportunities to take those shots. Like the Davidson game cal has the gameplan to limit our 3’s and drive every single trip. KStste much more physical and stopped our drives with strips early and didn’t give up many cheap baskets. Fouling worked as we kept missing free throws but cal kept the offense flowing through the one guy who was struggling mightily from the line. Not a great plan IMO when your season is on the line. Cal bottled the team up tonight big time. No reason we should hit 12-13 3’s in the SEC tournament then only take 12 tonight with the season on the line. Coaching isn’t that damn hard but Cal continues to outcoach himself every damn year!!!!!

You are leaving then? Or just staying around to make us miserable? Always had the feeling the later was always your goal.

Of course you briefed Cal on this before the game. Surely you aren’t here regaling us with the brilliance of your hindsight.

No didn’t get the chance but also wasn’t on the sidelines tonight watching my team lose to the worst team left in the tournament.

You do realize that every team loses in the tournament except one. In the last game, the loser falls to the worst team left in the tournament.

Let me know how many million you make as a head coach next year.

I'm happy with Cal. I just hope he will start to change his overall outlook a little. Sending these kids pro after 1 season to the D-league is not making their dreams come true. At some point he needs to talk them out of it or recruit hard *** 4 star players who know it will take some time to jump.

I do, but I'd like to see more adaptation. The Zone was great to see.. but for a guy who LOOOVESSS to adapt to the players and the NBA.. he certainly doesn't appear to adapt to the game itself. Refusal to step away from his prized recruits, not use Time Outs, staying in the GD coaching box, OOB plays

His actual "coaching" game could use a tune-up.

I support him and want him to stay but it’s a D for him this year. It would be helpful if he wouldn’t flat talk about people leaving while they are in the effing tournament. Telling SGA he’s rich in a few weeks and saying Vanderbilt doesn’t need to play because he’s already proven his draft stock is a piss poor approach during a tournament. For once, please put Kentucky first. Once

We cant replace Cal, he's a top 5 coach in the country. It just sucks because he had a chance at being 1 or 2 and he blew it.

Cal has dug his own grave with the unrealistic expectations he has created. He said “I want to have an Undefeated season”, he said “I want to catch UCLA” in titles. He said we get crappy draws and can’t back it up with as easy a pass as he ll ever get. Cal makes these statements then gets the best talent in basketball and can’t back it up. In the meantime his adversaries are emboldened. I don’t feel like there is a reset switch in this situation.

Appreciate Cal and what he's done here. Think it's about time for him to move on though. He was right. 10 yrs is about all anyone can last here. Would like the program to get back to being about UK first and foremost.
