I stopped watching at halftime

An A&M friend came over to watch the game with me. It was about halftime and my friend asks me if I was going to watch the second half. I looked back at the game and then back at my friend. I told him that I was having a good time talking with my friend. He could see that NU had a lot of talent, but made note of our QB's struggles. I stopped watching the game at halftime.

For the life of me I don't know why our program has such difficulty developing quarterbacks. Why does Luke regress from one week. Almost every pass was high or off target. Jergens and his high snaps. Our defense couldn't slow down the Illini. Not OSU. The Illini. Then the turnovers. Then the penalties. I don't think I've seen such a poor performance in a long time. We're talking all across the board. We're supposed to be getting better.

Year 3.

Unbelievable and unacceptable.

This is all on Scott Frost. He's responsible for this. All of it.

All 4 games except for PSU I turned at halftime. It's like watching a self fulfilled prophecy over and over.

This is the 2nd week I didn’t watch the game because I need to find ways to reduce stress levels these days.

I am having my brother text me 1 of three responses at the end of the game...

1. Watch it
2. Watch it later
3. Don’t watch it

At the end of the game he texted...”Skip it.” I responded “seriously.” He texted back...”Skip it.” I deleted the game from the DVR yesterday.

At least I was able to get 4 hours of lesson planning/grading done during the game and felt relaxed the whole day.

I will be doing the same thing on Friday. Try it...you might like it if you need to find ways to relax a little more these days. Winking

I've missed about a third of our games the last three years and I grow more distant each game.

This was the first game I thought about it. If the players don't give a ****, why should I?

I've watched every Nebraska game ever to the end for over 35 years.

Perfect arrangement. I went from watching the game live, to listening at Huskers.com, to turning off all media. It helped my stress level as well. I will admit that I was very jealous later than evening watching UDub totally stomp Arizona. I long for the days when we crushed our opponents!

I turned it off at the half to go run some errands. My wife looked at me and said “Well, Hell has frozen over. I never thought I would see the day you would turn off a Nebraska game to go buy groceries.” I responded: “Groceries and more booze. I’m gonna need it.”

Folks, as Sipple and Shatel have both correctly noted... Frost is creating huge apathy in the fan base. I fear for my hometown. Lincoln IS Husker football. Without a strong team drawing in thousands of fans willing to open their wallets, Lincoln businesses in the food, hotel, and bar sectors are going to be in a world of hurt.

I actually listened to most of the game on the radio while working at the ranch. I got home in time to see most of the 4th quarter. I was planning on coming in earlier but obviously the incentive lessened the worse it got.
