CC were to leave. Think about this scenerio a minute and it may not be as perplexed as it sounds . TT is at Aub and they have struggled this season. Saban's run has added serious pressure from the Aub fans. It looks like Saban is setting the table with his recruiting to make a serious run at a national title in the near future if he can find a QB. Tubbs can take a nice buyout, come to state where the only way togo is up with a nice salary and alot less pressure. One thing Tubbs can do is build a program, or that has been his MO in the past. It really isn't that far fetched to me. I guess Jimmy Sexton could tell those that might need to know.

Has this been discussed on GP, or perhaps BDJ? I wonder what GB will do, particularly with MK coming in at president. If CC comes back, do you figure he'll fire WM and hire AB?

Good thing JS was spelled out. Usually that only means The Kang.

Excuse me, sir. Seeing as how the V.P. is such a V.I.P., shouldn't we keep the P.C. on the Q.T.? 'Cause if it leaks to the V.C. he could end up M.I.A., and then we'd all be put out in K.P.

Or my vague recollection of history at least.
Ole Miss relieved Cutcliffe of his duties. David then becomes an offensive coordinator because he supposedly had health problems and head coach was too much pressure. After OC for some years he then takes a head coaching job at Duke.
Now, media and fan pressure at Duke <<< Ole Miss when it comes to football.

Now lets look at Tubbs. Good coach at Ole Miss takes a step up to Auburn and had some very successful seasons. He has now built up the expectations so much that seasons like year's creates havoc around the program. If health is an issue he can take a step back to a less prestigious program (MSU) and become an immediate icon on a campus where he should have at least 4 years to take a nice paycheck and give average results (or below average in Croom's case).

In the words of Mythbusters, I say PLAUSIBLE, but i also think highly unlikely

Hugh Nall (o-line coach) said he would not be at AU next year. When asked about CTT, he said we will have to wait and see. This was on a conference call today.

sorry, not sure of the link. I work with two Auburn grads that email me these things. I also received an email from the same Auburn grad saying Hugh Freeze has interviewed to be our offensive coordinator next year. I didn't feel like that deserved a response. At least I hope not.

I didn't know a scenario could be perplexed. Learn something new every day around here...
