Started listening to Jack in the late 1950’s. Neil, Jim, and Matt do a great job, but there was only one Jack. As a kid I would sit staring at the radio hanging on his every word. While I was a student at State I had the privilege of sitting next to Jack in Len Lews one night after class and before a home basketball game with the Webels. He stopped in to get a cheeseburger and coke on the way to call the game. We had a great visit. He did not like O.M. To say the least. That night was almost 50 years ago but I still remember it like it was yesterday. What a thrill it was for me. Jack was like a rock star.
this might be a good time and place to share memories of Jack once again. Not only those famous and funny calls but also memories from those that were lucky enough to actually meet him.
