And 17 Scott Stricklin. Football is flat without him. I have high wishes for joe, but I'm not sure it's going to work out. Getting tonight's draft class on campus was a feat and facing the heat on Simmons was a huge gamble that paid off. cheers dan. Well done.

I'm trying to be as diplomatic as possible when I say "I'm not sure it's going to work out". An offensive genius doesn't flub his way to 8-5 with the best defense in the nation, the sec's greatest rushing qb, and two 1000 yard tailbacks playing patsy on the sideline....or maybe he does and just had a rough time adjusting to the sec. only time will tell.

He's had the time to tell. His offense works against mediocre defenses we know that. But this is the SEC, pretty much everyone but Arkansas and Ole Miss have great defenses, and those teams cant get any worse in that respect.

This is going to be a long season. It's so stupid we wasted this team on that buffoon. Well at least the team got Egg Bowl rings***

You're an idiot if think Mullen would still be here if Stricklin hadn't hired him. Mullen would have taken the Tennessee job to get out of here.....let that sink .....Mullen would have left his best class ever to go to the dumpster fire that is Tennessee rather than stay here. Maybe ya'll need to go be Gata fans or something.

Dan may have wanted out of Starkville but if he had stayed he would have finished at least 10-3. Mullen is on a different level and will have Fla in the playoffs before we even sniff 10 wins. Joe has much to prove.

Can y'all go one night without pumping out something negative? I'm down on Moorhead as any but this was a historic night for our program. Enjoy it. I'm sure there will be plenty more time bash Moorhead's offense

Nothing has changed since the Kentucky game for me to make positive comments. The only reason I'm commenting rn is it is confirmed how big of a waste this season was.

Every single SEC team(not MSU) that had at least 1 first round Draft pick had 2+ more wins than us.

I'm not the one begging for Mullen back but he was a great coach for Mississippi State.

I'm merely commenting on our current coach who completely wasted 1st round talent on an 8 win season.

No one knows where Mullen would have finished. He could have pulled another 2016 where he was so worried about leaving that he didn't give a **** about football. As long as Saban is at Bama and Smart is at Georgia, Mullen ain't going to the playoffs.

I neither said nor implied Mullen would still be here. It was just a shot at Stricklin

Yeah under Mullen at least we never went 8-5 and played in the Belk bowl vs a low level acc team in the senior season of the best QB in program history, nor did we crawl to an almost loss to Miami (OH) in the St. Petersburg bowl.

Our AD seems more concerned about his broadcasting career and his podcast..... But as far as Mullen Is concerned, he was trying to leave after his first year.....

and every year we would suspect he was leaving for "greener" (?) pastures

It’s not that they’re totally wrong, it’s the timing. Last night is one of the proudest moments in our football history and our fans can’t even enjoy that without pissing and moaning about Moorhead.

We get it, people aren’t happy with him right now. But you’ve got all summer and fall to complain about him. It’s freaking April, this is the last football related thing we’ve got until August. No sense in souring what should be a really positive weekend for our program.

Look at this. Nick isn't but a few spots from the legendary Trace Mcsorley and is ahead of Jake Browning and Jordan Taamu. Obviously Fitzgerald wasn't as abysmal as he seems or he wouldn't be listed.

https://www.nfl.com/draft/tracker/prospects/QB?college=allColleges&page=1&status=UNDRAFTED

SO what does that tell me? We hired the wrong guy 100%. RIP us. I can't wait to see this team battle and crawl to a loss to ECU in the Birmingham Bowl

Go pull for ECU then you traitor. Anybody that "can't wait to see this team battle and crawl to a loss" isn't a true fan.

i guess im to blame for bringing joe into it, but it really was an attempt to recognize what Mullen was able to pull off at his time here. Let me get it back on subject.....3 first rounders was incredible. he got 3* Abram and 3* Sweat to go in the 1st round, and stuck his neck out for a guy that had serious baggage AND helped him out personally to become a better man for it when other coaches would have avoided controversy. Dan was a lot of things, some bad, but he had an incredible eye for talent and those guys were on campus because of it.

We had one of the top, if not the top defense in the country and our talent was wasted? Which side of the ball did the 3 first rounders play on? Did you even watch any of our games???? Quit posting now before people find out how little you really know about football. Comments like this make me question who you really support: "Mullen back but he was a great coach for Mississippi State." Why would one of our fans state it like this???
