Went to RU from '90 to '94...relative glory years: NCAAs under Wenzel, solid football under Graber, and an historic 4-years under Reasso. Throw in the '94 Knicks and I was a happy camper! Who knew the next couple decades were going to be so barren?!? Other than the occasional short-lived basketball high, sans 'Water Pressure', the RU Athletic Department was astonishingly consistent in hiring maddeningly self-destructive coaches.

Insert Pike...HIS top-notch support staff, HIS defense-first mentality, and now HIS team filled with long, athletic, hungry, high basketball IQ recruits from winning programs. Picture this - A late season away game against a top-25 conference foe, on senior night, when our top two scorers combine for 11 points...and we thump 'em good! True Story!! RU was by far the better team - start to finish - and probably wins by 25+ if not for the homer referees!

Curious, when was the last time we had 3 true freshman score 20+...in the same season...in conference to boot? Our history is gonna make this ride all-the-sweeter!

Go RU

I was telling my wife that there is no fan base on earth that is and will be savoring and celebrating each win more than us. We are competing with these B1G blue bloods and finally winning, it is almost like a each win is a championship to us. And we are so damn hungry and this team is so damn hungry for more.

Let’s be early and LOUD on Wednesday!

Would be f'in amazing if the crowd is able to get to the level of the '89 A-10 championship against PSU. Obviously the stakes are not the same but it would be ridiculously impressive to match that atmosphere on Wed night.

Think the remaining tickets get sold by Wed night?

Agree with everything you said but the Knicks, my favorite moment of that season was when the Knicks/Rockets game was pre-empted by the OJ Bronco "chase". Much more entertaining than the awful brand of basketball the Knicks played..yawn

I think we’ll have a good crowd. I just hope we don’t come out flat after an emotional, big win. I think this team has grown a lot and won’t do that.

There will never be an atmosphere like that again. Clearly, and it is not even close, the loudest the building ever was. Joe Pa was in the house and getting hollered out all night. 930 pm tip and for 45 minutes before the game the Ru and Penn State fans were chatting Penn State sucks , Rutgers sucks. When Ricky hit those 2 threes from way downtown , I thought the roof was going blow off. Amazing I have that memory like it was yesterday for something that happened 29 years ago
