People are pigs. But on McDonalds with touch screen ordering, my experience has been horrible with a handful of times using it. I've yet to put a order in and receive my food in a reasonable amount of time. The kitchen isn't staffed or trained well enough to push the food out timely as orders coming in.

Different stores/owners have different experiences. Problematic stores have staff cycle through way too much to keep up with training.

The touchscreen is the least of your problems. Think about the filthy hands all over your food. Sneezing, boogers, penis transfer from the cooks hands to your bun. Disgusting if you really think about it, but I still love me a Big Mac and fries.

There are policies and procedures in place to limit that already. That's one of the first things the teenagers are taught.

This shouldn't be a surprise. We are aware of this type of result now because we now have the technology to detect it and it used to be way worse. 50 years ago there was a lot more disgusting stuff in our food and even worse 50 years before that. Several hundred generations ago, our ancestors wallowed in feces. Good news is we have highly evolved and very effective immune systems to deal with it.

I laugh at germaphobes.

This reminds me of a skit from SNL way back when. John Larroquette was guest hosting and in the skit he went to Heaven and he was getting to ask the all-knowing St. Peter questions (or maybe Larroquette was St. Peter and someone else had gone to heaven and was asking him questions...whatever, I forget).

But anyway, one of the questions was "What is the most disgusting thing I ever ate." And St. Peter said "I can't tell you that because you wouldn't be able to take it," implying it would be too disgusting. So the guy said "Okay, what is the 400th most disgusting thing I ever ate." And St. Peter said something incredibly disgusting, but I forget what now.

I bet it's true though. If you could now with certainty everything you ever ate there's be some nasty stuff on the list.

ETA: I'll be darned, I found it. The grossest thing I ever ate part is at 2:37.
