I would see it as a sign that we don't have the flu. Otherwise, the inconsistent play this season wouldn't give me particular feelings one way or the other. We lost to Lafayette, played well against Clemson, and then totally **** the bed against Illinois. Even if we beat Purdue I still wouldn't know which team is going to show up next, so my excitement would still be measured, perhaps even muted.
Certainly. It shows improvement versus how we have been playing. We have to strive to keep getting better with every practice and game.
To improve the analytics, a loss of 5 or less if it's followed up with another close win vs SHU, is what we need to see.
I’m not expecting wins against Purdue or Seton Hall but I do expect to see effort and want to remain hopeful that the games will be competitive. If the latter occurs, I ll be happy. If either of the games are like the Illinois debacle, it’s going to be a frustrating year.
We usually play Purdue close but this year would figure to be the exception
A win would be great as it would completely wipe away what’s happened so far and re-open the tournament door.
Except let’s live in reality, that’s not happening.
If it did happen, and then we saw poor effort again in future games, it would piss me off.
I want to be competitive at the first 4 minute timeout and then go from there. Crowd should be rocking and supportive despite our record.
